Sorry to resurectan oldthread

But this Laminate your talking about.. is it the stuff in the kitchen section of homedepot? ITs really flimsy and its used onto of counter tops?
I looked at it, but the largest size was 4 feet in width which is too small
I'm in canada so we dont have alot of the same materials available that you get in the states
Right now i have a 92" B-Tech motorized screen with RF Remote controller but i'm selling this asi wanttomake a false wallwith screen built in,any ideas of screen material? I know of BOC but i want something that will be flush with my false wall without too much hard work. My false wallwill be 5/8 thick so ilooked at Melamine which is 5/8 and comes in 4x8 which with a black boarder will giveme a 92" screen but i've heard reports of possible hot spotting. And to be honest i would prefer a alrger screen size 100 or 120

That's the stuff alright. Here is a better solution using the same ideas. You can get a 110" diagonal screen following the instructions there or use a bit more material for maybe a 115" screen or so with some minor adjustments in calculation. Just make sure your projector has enough throw distance to fill the screen.

Default Thanks for the link to the screen how-to.

That post continues to get hundreds of hits a day. Be sure to check out AVSForum.com's DIY projection screen threads. There are a few people there that have taken what I have done and improved upon it.

Best of luck.
