I knew it had to happen sooner or later but you're the first person I've come across that doesn't enjoy this movie. No joke.

Anyway - Warner boycott or not, I don't buy their coffeetable book blu-ray releases, just like I never bought their snapper case DVDs.

Great movie though, and I'm glad it's being released.

Why would you pass on a movie of this calibur because of the packageing. I just don't understand.

some people like to stare at their cases more then at the tv screen.....just an assumption from all the Warner packaging hate....I buy the movie for the movie not for the cases....(unless ur the Christmas Story box set with the free cookie cutters...Im buying that for both...)

This is one of my favorites so i will purchase the movie for the movie. Plus the coffee book releases are cool in my opinion. Its like every thread turns into a packaging thread.

Seriously.

If it bothers you that much, spend the 30 cents to get a regular BD case.

Thats how I feel. What does a case have to do with how awesome the movie looks on blu. I say stop complaining about it in every thread in which a movie is being put in a coffee book.

I think the coffeebook packaging makes the release just that much more special. I love all the photos it always includes.

Also, it seems that The Shawshank Redemption Blu-ray Disc has been removed from Warner press site. We believe the title has been delayed until sometime in 2009, but we're awaiting official confirmation from the studio.

Disappointing, but kinda makes sense seeing as how 2009 will be a nice round number (15 years) for an anniversary edition.

Hopefully Green Mile will come out with it. Personally I thought it was almost as good as shawshank.

I agree, although the ending of Green Mile prevents me from watching it as frequently.
