I just watched this movie last Sunday.

And it was awesome.

I really liked this one.

One of the best movies I watched besides Dark Knight.

Andy Dufresne is a genius.

This deserves to be on top of the IMDB rankings.

Are you serious? If not the movie is based of a Stephen King book. The movie stars Morgan Freeman & Tim Robbins. Plus it used to be on TNT like every weekend much like the Breakfest Club is on TBS (The Breafest Club Station).

The Godfather is better.

So's Casablanca.

And The Wizard of Oz.

And some others.

It's still pretty good though.

I dont know how you can even compare this to The Dark Knight... The Shawshank Redemption is wayyyyyyyyy batter than a batman movie...

One of those movies that everyone has seen and I didn't for the longest time. But when I did, whoa, was I blown away. Definitely a 9/10 from me.

Back when Morgan Freeman actually took part in a film and wasn't typecast as "supporting father-figure".

have to admit i didnt like this as much as i had hoped to. it was definitely great, but not incredible imo.
