The costumes she wore showed nothing especially remembering the 2nd film -- the swim attire, the horse riding outfit, the motorbike outfit, etc. all great costumes), they just gave her some padding to be more in line with the game character, the boobs weren't the focal point of the movies. I especially enjoyed the second film, just an entertaining action film, and Gerard Butler was hott!

I think ultimately we want to see smart, beautiful women who can kick butt but are still feminine! Trinity from the Matrix is one that comes to mind. There are so many complexities with a woman character that can be brought to the fore, I think those characters and Angie have pioneered for actresses to be in action roles! I welcome it and if Megan Fox can pull it off, .more power to her!

Please!!!! I hope they don't screw up Wonder Woman!!! Get Josh Whedon back on board to write it! Sorry for the OT...

Except for the Megan Fox-love, overall agreed and thank you.

its not some deep game/movie with tons of plot. its about an action movie with an attractive woman. sorry..you guys are wrong

That is your truth... I have my own... no problem.

Agreed to disagree.

Get someone who looks the part, with or without big breasts, who is a good actor.

I haven't cared about big breasts or gratuitous nudity in movies for years.

Default Any updates on this?

Last I've read it's going to be more story oriented and less stunts. The decision to reboot doesn't really concern me that much, I just hope they get the casting done right. However, I'm not sure if they've decided on a lead yet. Anyone else know? All signs point to Megan Fox.

Update 1 - May 28th, 2009

Quote:
It's official. There is a new Tomb Raider film in the works. The producer already attached to the film and confirmed to be a part of it is Dan Lim the same guy that recently worked on the Terminator: Salvation film and Sherlock Holmes featuring Robert Downing Jr.

Loved Terminator Salvation, and Sherlock Holmes looks equally exciting so I think this is very good news.

Here is a complete interview with Dan.

http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/p...ack-46/1317152

As stated in the interview this movie is set in Lara Croft's past...an origin story of sorts and will need an younger actress for the role. The actress mentioned in the video clip and elsewhere is Megan Fox.

Fox definitely could nail the look ...and I have no problem about looking at her. But I love Tomb Raider (the first three games and the first two films) and would really like to see this film done right...just as right as Terminator Salvation. And I must admit with all the things Megan has going for her.....acting skills seem to fall on the way side. Trailers for Tranformers 2 make me cringe....I know they are just that, trailers...but every scene with her in it seems void, empty of all emotion, and as through she is really just relying on the famous looks....reading her lines...flipping her hair and shaking her ass.

Hey...that works for Transformers....don't plan to see that film anyway. But I want more than that in Tomb Raider.

She is of course cast in Jonah Hex a film very close to my heart...and a film that I believe (or at least hope) will be the first that will actually require her to act...so I will reserve further opinion until I see that film.

It is worth noting that since Jan 26 2009.....at which time a new Tomb Raider film was green lighted. Fox's agent has admently voiced that Fox wants no part of the film. Also worth noting ...that was when the film itself was intended to be a sequel to the last Tomb Raider movie and Megan would very much be stepping into Anglina Jolie's boots and taking over the franchise.

As stated this is a new re-boot...and possibly a launch of a new franchise much like Star Trek and Batman Begins.

Whatever happens I do hope we get to see just a little of Jolie in the film just like we saw a little Nimoy in Star Trek and "Arnold" in Terminator.

As for casting, I think Amanda Righetti ("The Mentalist") has the perfect look for Lara Croft...assuming she can nail the accent.

I really, really, really hope they don't cast Megan Fox for this role.

You know what, I kinda agree with you; Kate Beckinsdale can kick ass, have gorgeous looks, and most importantly, perfect b**bies for the big screen and Lara Croft fans.

I hope Meagan Fox doesn't get attached to this movie
