Yes he has. For Hotel Rwanda I believe. Hence my comment that he will be nominated for MORE Academy Awards in the future.

He's more like Terrance Howard than Morgan Freeman. Freeman has an authoritative quality about him, whereas Cheadle doesn't.

Gotcha. That really does not affect me. I rarely make polls on here and i am an active member (on here every day and post a few times each day. maybe about 6-7 posts.) I joined and was not active for a while, but i've become really active over the past month or two.

I am a fan of Don Cheadle and enjoy his movies like most people. But putting "Messiah" and an actor in the same sentence? Get a grip! I know you don't literally mean that you really believe Don Cheadle is the Messiah and are just curious to hear from others on this site as to whether he desrves the hype or not.

I think he is very talented and entertaining. But c'mon! The use of the word "Messiah" to describe someone of huge popularity (like Cheadle or Obama) is really silly and disrespectful. I'm not a fanatical person of faith, but it does get under my skin when people use powerfiul words like Messiah in casual conversation.

And as far as Cheadle playing Obama in a movie about his life? Well I think Don Cheadle could do a great job in almost any role he plays. But let's let Obama do his job (may it be 4 or 8 years) and then talk biopic presidential movies. As least Oliver stone waited till the end of George Bush's 8 years to release his film "W."

There are parts that are great -- I remember thinking "I can't wait to have THAT on DVD" at the time -- but overall it's pretty bad. I'd rent it first.
