I doubt anyone knows for certain but I imported the first 2 from the US and they were region free and Sony it seems have completely abandoned region coding so I would think its probably 95% certain the box set will be region free.

And I agree with the other poster I rented the UK releases before I bought the US ones and they are far better.

No idea of Part 3 will be region free, but the first two are.

I loved the first two - but i haven't gotten a chance to see this yet - will probably have to wait (6 month old and 3 year old at home).

I think Kate Beckinsale is a great actress but from what i've read i'm guessing she isn't in this correct?

Correct, as this is set centuries before the events in the first two Underworlds and even before Victor met Beckinsale's character. Rhona Mitra is the main female character in this one and a fine,(in all senses of the word), replacement for Kate.

What I loved about Part 3, was that it adhered to things that we've already been told,(or hinted at), in the previous movies. It doesn't take the p!ss and try to create its own rules and change the characters, it is very, very true to the previous movies and all the better for it.

while i did miss kate as well the addition of mitra was a real good choice.and she is smoking hot as well def be picking this up

I've been a fan of Rhona Mitra since I saw her in "Sweet Home Alabama" in 2002 and she was the reason I went to see the newest Underworld movie at the theater.

In my opinion Mitra is a lot sexier than Beckinsale.

I dunno about that, but I will just say that they both are sexy and leave it at that. There is nothing wrong with Rhona Mitra at all. I was kinda pissed when they got rid of her on Boston Legal.

I picked up the first movie from the US but got the second from the UK since they used a BD-50 for there MPEG2 encode rather then a BD-25 (Also UK version I got cheap).

It was anoying a little that EIV offered only DTS 1.5Mbps compaired to the US sony releases with LPCM.
