I can't find the thread here nut found the article which states the first releases will be of the theatrical and the director's cut, while a second release around christmas time will be the 'ultimate' edition and cut.

Agreed. Supposedly the first release is in summer (June I've heard, and sorry, no link) and the ultimate is to come in fall (my guess is November).

I saw it in theatre and, since I'm still up in the air about how I really felt about it, I think a rewatch on BD will nail down my opinion. However, I'm definitely going to have to wait for the collection that includes the entire package, so it'll be a wait for me, I think.

not offical but he has said there a 3 versions in interviews theatrical directors and one with the black freighter stuff in it due out athe end of the year the interview is on this site in one of the other watchmen threads plan on renting the first version buying the collectors version
