but that doesnt really apply to ALL R rated films
Equilibrium was R and i thought it could have been pg-13 easily

+1 im 17 as well and feel the same way, cause the worst movie i saw as a little kid was army of darkness which wasnt that bad for being "R" and now-a-days kids are seeing alll these movies casue the parents dont care,which is extending their vocabulary if you know wat i mean

this is why you always go view movies like this at midnight, only the hardcore nerds will be there. they won't play on cell phones, talk, hell even breath threw their mouth during the movie.

my first R rated film was Terminator 2 when i was like 8
but it was on tv
so it was HEAVILY edited

i don't think anybody chewed popcorn loudly during that. i always hate that, when there is a silent part, especially in the beginning of the movie you can hear ppl munching on popcorn.

nobody did.

the only thing i heard was a soft, mmmmm....when vader took out gunray.

we got some laughs when R2 was taking out the droids in the beginning
and then a collective deep breath when the vader mask was being lowered

that scene is still amazing

Man, I felt disgusted enough watching Tropic Thunder. I can't even imagine how bad this one will be. Sounds like complete trash. Pretty much what I got from the trailer. I will gladly not see this movie. Do the world a favor and hug your mommas instead of seeing this movie.

65% for T-Meter critics (127 reviews)
46% for Top Critics (28 reviews)

clearly not as high as people expected it to be

unlike the IMDB rating by over 1000 people (most of whom have NOT seen it)

Edit: all of the reviews says its great about sticking to the source material, just not very well acted or entertaining (some said one or the other, some said both)
