Good movie; saw it in the theater; but would not watch it again.

Picked this up at Target for $25.99. It also includes a $5 certificate for other Fox war movies.

this comes with a digital copy & a $5 DVD CASH for select blu-ray titles:

- Flyboys

- A Bridge too far
- Patton
- Windtalkers
- The Longest Day
- The Sand Pebbles

Which I I think would be a pretty good deal, since some of these titles you can find as low as $14.99.
i'm using the DVD cash on Flyboys!

Just got an email from Amazon that it's been shipped I think the next time I do the school thing, I'm going to design streaming Blu-Ray with 50% of the bandwidth of cable HD. Anyone interested? I'm sick of waiting for Blu every time it's released

Default Valkyrie

I am not a fan of Tom Cruise, mostly because he's so arrogant and cocky and because he's always treating women like dirt. I'm sure that he's not the only one who is like this but the man needs to grow up. He might be a good actor but he needs to start treating everyone with more respect. When Tom cruise was young I liked him but as he got older he started getting terrible in how he performs in some of his movies, like the mission impossible series, the first one was good but then the last two were ok but not great. Most of his movies like Valkyrie are probably good films but the majority of them are indeed very slow.

ok my favorite Tom Cruise movie is The Last Samurai. My question is....is this movie as good as Samurai and is his acting job on par or at least close to his performance in Samurai? I been thinking about picking this up...but I'm ont the fence and need a push in one direction or the other.

This is a great film. And Tom Cruise was great in it, no accents aside.

Watched this movie tonight on BD (did not see it in the theaters). I am a student of history, particularly WWII era history. When I first heard that Tom Cruise was starring in Valkyrie I was very skeptical and expected the movie to be a flop. I was very familiar with the story regarding von Stauffenberg and was very pleased to see how well the movie was written and how well Cruise and the supporting cast did. I am not a huge Tom Cruise fan, but I thought he captured the essence and spirit of the main character and I was very impressed with the supporting cast. This movie was well made.

The extra features were a big bonus as well. The movie exceeded my expectations and I am very glad I purchased it. I was especially happy the the writers and the producer did not hack up the story.

If you have not seen it, at least give it a rent.

BTW, I am glad they did not try to give Cruise some horribly fake accent and I thought the direction from German to English was well done.

I'm glad to see a lot of positive reviews for this movie, this was another blind buy for me but the story line seems very good. I'll watch this tomorrow I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it.

Some of the cases come out of the factory with wrinkles, but then again it could of been how tight the seal is too.

IMAO, I preferred this over the Last Samuria. LS is a good film, but Valkyrie was better.

Well, not every single BD is going to be in 100% pristine condition. Do you inspect your cases under a microscope?

well it should be since it's brand new manufactured in the factory if not then it's considered defected. lol..no i didn't use a microscope it's pretty visible, you'll need an eye exam if you can't see it on the spot
