Default Just A Good Ol' Boys! Never Meanin' No Harm!

The Dukes Of Hazzard had car chases every episode,I'm talking about the now classic TV show,I would love some if not all of the seasons(-the Coy and Vance season!) on Blu! Watched it every Friday night back in the 70's and 80's! YEE HAW!!!

Ronin hands down is #1!
The director of Ronin, John Frankenheimer is the master at car chases!

...but i really enjoyed the Bad Boys II car chase with the car carrier never saw cars fly before also when they drive an H2 through huts down a hill!

I can never get enough of that whole scene. Especially the old black guy on the trolley.

Of course this is all subjective but

I don't get all the hoopla about the car chase in Ronin. It was okay but it didn't get my adrenaline pumping like:

The French Connection
To Live and Die in L.A. ( I watch that movie just for the car chase)
Bullit

Bourne Identity was on point. Supremecy was good too but it was overblown. I give it points for Bourne getting broadsided while his head was turned. That was totally unexpected.

Bullitt made number 1 so I'm OK with the list.

You and me both. I should probably post that scene in the "scene made me cry thread."

I am with you on the Ronin one. I was all pumped up for it and to me, it was sort of 'eh'.

The big thing with the Ronin one was that everything was real. And driving against the traffic when now they use CGI when they do that.

It didn't get me pumped up either but I found it awesome the way they did the scene.

I think Ronin was probably the best chase scene i have ever seen, it was shot with a continuos cam with no cuts and i believe it was 1 take at full speed, it might not thrill you like other chases but if you understand how hard it was to shoot you will appreciate so much more. Go back and watch how little camera cuts there are and take notice everything is real and full speed.

Gone in 60 Seconds (1974)
Quote:
The scene where the Mustang tags a car on the highway and spins into a telephone pole at 100mph was a real accident. Halicki was badly hurt and filming was stopped while he recovered. According to people on the set, after the mishap the first thing that Halicki said when he regained consciousness was "Did we get coverage?". The scene was left in.

I remember when the Matrix Reloaded was about to come out and kept talking about the car chase. Then when the special features came out they had like 5 cars out there and the rest CGI.

But yeah. When they cut it's to them shifting the gears
