I am currently at the hospital and i wont be home until tommorow. My wife and I jsut had out first baby!!! Are you going to be on tommorow? I am in Seattle and I probabaly wont be on until 3 or 4 pacific time if you want to nock some games out...

I still dont understand the format thoough... we just have to play 3 games with anyone in the schedule? Or do we have to know out 3 games with whoever is first on the schedule?

More glitches in the league.

I finished up a game with AU (Red Sox), and won 4-3 in 11 innings. It's showing up as a loss for me, claiming I lost 2-3. I was never losing at any point in the game (it was 3-2 until he hit a game-tying HR in the bottom of the 9th), so I'm not sure what's going on.

Not sure. I guess we can wait and see if it corrects itself, and if it doesn't maybe you can throw a game to me , so that it cancels out.

I noticed something somewhat funny on the MLB '09 message boards. If you type "in the game" it censors it into ** *** ****. I assume it has something to do with EA Sports' slogan.

After DonRSD's complaints, and some big problems with it myself during a few games, I'm deciding to reopen the debate about base-running.

First, everyone will have to complete at least a game or two, so I know they've seen what classic is like.

Then, I will send out a new poll again, to see if people want to give "new" a try (we can agree to use "new" for a series or so, and if people don't like it better, switch back to "classic").

I've seemed to have some issues with classic responding properly, and end up sending my runners to ridiculous places.

If the majority wants to stick with "classic", then that's what we'll do, and it will never be brought up again.

I found that it was hard if there was any lag what so ever. It was kind of sticky. I did not really care then and do not really care now so I am good with whatever.

I do believe that this needs to a be a civil decision and if the way that you want does not get picked "SHUT UP AND PLAY THE GAME." There has been too much whining from to many people in this forum. State your opinion and if it does not get picked accept it like an adult and quit whining. I am trying to play this for fun. Of course I would like to win, but I would rather have a good experience than a crappy one.

maybe having a longer deadline to play 3 games vs an opponent would be better

maybe a week per series.

and if everyone updated their profile with their AIM name it would make hunting people down easier.

Not possible. For some reason the game limits how long the length of a season can be, so when you do 3 game series, the longest you can take is 3 days. Oddly, if you do 1 game series, you can set those for 7 days.

I'll be on shortly if you want to play.

The easy way to see who is to click Schedule, and then look for the icons next to the games. The baseball icon means they're online in the middle of a game. The glove icon means they're online, and available. A blank circle means they're not online.

So the simplest way is to find one of the games with the glove icon, and hit , and the menu that pops up will include the option of Challenge To League Game.

Yeah, it's kind of dumb, but I guess they have a maximum number of weeks a season can last (maybe they don't want a league tying up their servers for more than a certain amount of time), so, in general, the more games you play, the quicker they have to be played.

i completed the series with him, and ya i know i got swept, and the timer is still there so there is no way that i can tell you for sure
