GAMES BEGIN TODAY (SATURDAY) AT 12PM EST

**If you are interested, there is a 2nd league with available spots, which can be found HERE, or you can PM me and I'll put your name on a reserve list, in case we have people backing out between now and the start of the season**

SEASON BEGINS TODAY. GAMES BEGIN FRIDAY.

LEAGUE RULES
1. Teams are selected on a fist-come, first-served basis.
2. There is NO draft; teams start with default rosters, and will abide by standard trading deadline rules.
3. Season starts March 17th, 2009 (games start March 20th).
4. League consists of two divisions: American League and National League, each with 15 teams.
5. Each team will play every other team in it's division 6 times, in 2 series of 3 games each.
6. Each team will play every other team in the opposing division 3 times, in 1 series of 3 games.
7. Top 8 teams from each division make the playoffs.
8. Difficulty will be set to All-Star (which is in between Veteran and Hall of Fame).
9. Guess pitch is OFF.
10. Strike zones are ON.
11. Hot/Cold zones are OFF.
12. Pitching mode is METER.
13. Baserunning mode is CLASSIC.

LOL The A's are my team, but I'm sure they're gonna be one of the weakest in the game like last year. I was half tempted to take the non draft team as the Bosox though, just for the rivalry games LOL

Honestly it does not matter to me, I just think live drafts are very entertaining. I would prefer to have the classic running style though lol.

Ok, I guess I'll throw the hammer down, and declare we'll start with default rosters. This will make it easier for picking teams (so people don't have to pick two teams, depending on the outcome). I'll update the top post.

I honestly don't know the difference in baserunning. What is "classic" and what is the new one. I didn't play '08, so I'm only familiar with '07 (though I played '06 on PS2)?

The classic you just pick which button that the runner has and use the directional pad to send him to what base you want him at. Press L1 or R1 to send all runneres forward or backward. The New One? Has something to do the right and left sticks i think. Pain in the a** IMO.

Yeah, the biggest pain is all the spacing. In the event that it happens again, I PM'ed myself the post, so that I'll at least have that around to copy and paste.

I just need the person who PM'ed me yesterday asking to take the Indians to remind me of his name (I already deleted the PMs). For now I grayed out the Indians, so at least it's shown they aren't available.

Why is the AL so popular? Or, should I say, the AL East? It should be fun though...no easy division wins against computer teams...except the Jays so far.
