Didn't care for it to much. After about 15 - 20 minutes I knew what the movies was about and what he was going to do. I ended up spending the rest of the movie wondering when the hell he was finally going to do it.

I watched Seven Pounds last night (my last Netflix rental). I thought the movie was awesome and I will buy it when it goes on sale.

I especially enjoyed the chemistry between Will and Rosario. I’ll stop now because I do not want to spoil the plot for anyone who plans to watch it. All I can say is “WOW” just “WOW!!! By the way, Sony did a terrific job on the Blu-ray as usual.

Just finished watching it and I thought it was very moving. I agree with some of the others here where they say they should have focused on some of the other people. All in all I enjoyed it and I will look forward to adding this movie to my collection.

Seven Pounds should not be compared to The Will Be Blood in any manner.

Not a bad movie...but hugely predictable. I had bought it, but I can see me selling it here at some point once the rest of the family watches it.

Me too. This movie just seemed to drag onnnnnnnn and onnnnnnnnn. It was one of the very few movies where I repeatedly looked at the clock during the movie to see when it would end.

[Show spoiler]Seven Pounds in medical terms, refers to the approximate weight of your vital organs. My fiancee is a nurse, and when the trailer came on the boob tube during the Holidays, she actually guessed the plot long before we watched the movie last night.

We were shocked how much we enjoyed it though, especially after hearing nothing but bad reviews and even knowing what was to come. I'm looking forward to picking this up down the road.

Fascinating! Thank you. As I said before, I was surprised how much I enjoyed the movie. Just by the few times I saw the trailers, I thought it was about a cop who did bad things to seven people, regrets it and makes it up to them. But I imagined car chases, busting doors down, shoot-outs, etc. Boy was I wrong.

I had no idea. I just thought it meant
[Show spoiler]that each of the 7 deaths he caused were a "pound" on his conscience or something..

LOL Ebert and I agree again, it was done the way it was done to do what it did to those of us who enjoyed it. Don't worry, that'll make sense to the people who've seen it for sure. Definitely recommend it -

I am going to watch this movie hopefully soon. The only thing is that somebody basically destroyed the ending for me. Grrrrrr....Can you still enjoy it going into the film, knowing what I know?

Very much. The chemistry between Will Smith and the always amazing Rosario Dawson is great, perfect casting. Plus there is also very intense sequences with ALL of the strangers and Will Smith's character.
