Wow. You have peaked my curiosity on the Dyn's. I love the way your new one's look - unique - almost like a work of art made of wood. Congrats!

Rhett,

Like Crazy, I kept it quiet as requested and took it a step further. Didin't look them up on the website either...wanted to be surprised. And I was my friend. These are beauties! Visually stunning and I'd say of grand and imposing stature. I have no doubt you will have years of contentent and pleasure from them. Congrats!

Allow me to jump on the bandwagon and say great speakers! Can't wait to hear your impressions; I'd like to know how the bass is on them. It's crazy they can get as low as they do without some big woofers; do you know if they are a transmission line design?. And mmm the double esotar 2 tweet, that's gotta sound great. Enjoy listening!

Thanks Intamin. The C2s can get down to around 26-27HZ in a proper room. My concrete floors with hardwood laminate doesn't really do them much justice that's why they are on spikes and discs. From My experience with the the Watt puppies and B$W 802Ds and Revel Ultima salon(well this is 8g's more than the others), these speakers tend to hit you with a sledgehammer when it comes to bass. The C2s are more natural and textured but can get down low if called for.
I'm not a speaker engineer or designer but I beleive the reason for the C2s having low and deep bass is becuase of the woofers and the size of the foot print. The plinths on these are about 18"x 18" x 2". Plus the cabinet design is just supereb and rigid preventing resonance. The baffle facade is made of high density fiber board(light and durable). I have yet to crank them up really loud So will let you know.

I meant the PS logo on the front. It's turned sideways.

Slim: you must be a PS3 connoisseur I can't believe you noticed that. I have no idea how that is, my only guess is that since my PS3 is the original 60 gig and got it at first batch, may be they mounted the logo sideways since they were marketing the PS3 to stand on its side. Or maybe its just a factory defect

Same way here! I get terrible migraines if I sleep more than 7 hrs. 6hrs is more like it for me-more time for my toys and more time for the forums

Default Initial impressions...

BTW, I cranked up the volume earlier today- NO NEED FOR A SUB for 2 channel listening. My 3.4s don't even come close. The C2s are way more neutral and has a better grip on the symphony. I'll write my full review/thougths/evaluation after a few days.

You'll love that show buddy! Very interesting as in the show, the vampires have come out in the open and they have been given similar rights as humans, they have their own bar...oh I don't wanna spoil it. If you think Anna Paquin(Rogue in X-men) is hot? Then you will see A LOT of her in the show

Wow man the new speakers look CRAZY!! Wish I could hear them congrats man!!

I wondered about the PS3 logo before too when I noticed mine was crooked.. I figured since you could lay it flat or standing you can change the logo since it spins 90 degrees only.
