Default Star Wars DVD Up-Converted And Future BD Release

I've been watching Star Wars the last few days (got to Episode 4 last night, only 2 more to go). I am watching them again on my Samsung BD and a few things I've notice on them are interesting.

First, for some weird reason Episode 4 (the new version) look so much better then the first 3 with maybe the exception of Episode 3. But the first two aqre not as good it seem to me as Episode 4. My DVD set for the older version of Star Wars is the box set release 5 years ago. Last night I was watching it and I was very surprise at how much better it look then Episode 1 and 2.

Second, I am wondering if once we do get the original 3 movies on BD, we won't be a little disapointed? Now wait before going to hit the reply button and read on . The original movies (specialy the first one in 1977) were made on very low budgets. Last night I was paying close attention to the details and so of it were coming off as rather cheap. I notice at one point the armor of one Stormtrooper looking too much like some cheap plastic What I am thinking is that BD might make all of these details look even more so? What do you think?

Of course don't get me wrong, I want these movies (all 6 of them in BD) and I will still love them until the day I moved on but I am wondering what you all think of this.

Now for the apologies : No I was not looking for an excuse to start a Star Wars thread to get my daily fix and I am sorry if this was in the wrong forum, I truly wasn't sure where to put this.
