Kinda makes me not want to buy the game now. May wait for it used so it doesn't show for their numbers.
Why aren't they supporting the PS3? Idiots.

Its the same with GTA4. By the time I was finised, I didnt give a damn about the me any more. Is the DLC for that even out yet?

Same here, I never played a game by Bethesda before Oblivion, but now im a believer.

Which brings me to another point. I never wanted Shivering Isles after beating oblivion. 100hrs is enough.

There was DLC for GTAIV on the 360? What was that?

There isn't any available for the PS3 yet for GTAIV.

I won't make a firm stance on GTAIV vs Fallout 3 as with Fallout apparently its like a big multiplayer expansion to it like Oblivion.

The DLC for GTAIV is not out yet. Supposed to be close to the end of the year. Nothing yet said for ps3 though.

I can't check out the link but I know DLC has been coming the 360 fallout 3 for a while. They said it a while back but said it would be exclusive content, but they didn't say the ps3 wouldn't be getting anything. Is it any different now?

The PS3 will be getting no DLC while the 360 and PC will be getting expansion packs, hence me cancelling my pre-order from Amazon. If I am wrong then I'll gladly re-order it.

Ok. Well if that's the case I won't be getting it, for PS3 at least. Idk, I'm not getting it day 1 cause of the other games coming out this month and next month that I want to get. Idk which system I'll buy it for, maybe just whichever one I can get it cheaper for if they're both exactly the same sans DLC.

when it comes to dlc for ps3, i dont hold my breath. regardless what developers say in the beginning, things change. its happened before. ive preordered fallout and cant wait till its released. i know ill enjoy this game even more than oblivion. tired of the gaming business/politics but at least with dlc, i know ill be covered. just wanna play and have the best experience.

For the most part ive finished and moved on to another game before the DLC for a game comes out, so I dont care either way. Ill buy the game if its good anyways. The only time ive gone back to play a game when DLC came out was Burnout, because that was free.

Im pretty sure GTAIV DLC was supposed to be exclusive for the 360. It was such a huge deal at the time, but looking back at it now, does anyone even care?

I was originally going to just get if for PC, but now I'm not going to bother at all.

There are a TON of high quality _exclusive_ (read: better production quality) games in the pipe for PS3. I need another lower grade port that is treating PS3 consumers like crap.

I'm sorry, but 100 hours or not you are NOT getting your $60 out because part of that price is the _opportunity_ to play expanded DLC content. That opportunity is purposefully and maliciously being denied to PS3 users. $60 on 360 and $60 on PS3 should buy you the highest quality experience each console can deliver, period. At the very _least_ they should be the same; however, that is not an optimal solution. Consoles should be optimized.

It's sickening.

Betheseda doesn't deserve another dime of my business after this (just as I don't think I will be supporting Treyarch anymore either).

Until the PS3 consumer starts talking with their wallets and using feedback resources to let the developers know this is WRONG we will never see a change.

Fallout 3, sadly, is off my list of games to buy until such time that they announce they will be offering all the same DLC on the PS3 version. The guy they interviewed in the above article is an idiot and is SO out of touch it's sad.

I'm quite pissed off about this as the title looked like it had some promise.

and this goes back to my first point: i shouldnt have to miss out. neither should you but its your choice. its not like the dlc was free (one was for a week) but either way, either console, 100 hrs of gameplay your getting your moneys worth. im playing through oblivion for about the 5th time im getting my moneys worth for sure even with the dlc i purchased. im not going to blame the developer (not anymore) for taking money for exclusive content. if the console mfgrs want the business, then let them battle it out. while they fight, ill play....

You know, I was VERY excited about this game from the first teaser. Now I dont really care.

No Trophies, no DLC, likely smaller world than it should be (the invisible wall at the edge of the map) thanks to 360s DVD...

Just, well, disappointing.

Why is an inferior machine like the 360 giving its players better value than a great machine like PS3? What is the point of a Enzo, if your garage door wont open? At least it looks good when people come over!

Anyway, I refuse to buy Vista and 360 (as I have said before) so I guess I will just skip it.

m$ tosses money like rice at a wedding. sony doesnt. ive heard sony say before they feel they dont need to buy exclusives or content. they stand by thier rep. that in turn is hurting the ps3 owner. third party games are always going to be limited by the dvd for both consoles. i really dont see any games using the full pontential of the ps3 and blu ray (maybe mgs4) unless sony makes it themselves or buys an exclusive. its a shame. the addition of blu on the ps3 helped the format war but its not really doing anything for gaming like it could. if sony loosened up thier wallets a little, they could really blow the competition away.

Default PSM3: "Fallout 3 looks rubbish on PS3"

PSM3 responds to leaked review:

PSM3 Blog post:

Quote:
Our exclusive Fallout 3 PS3 review (from PSM3#107) has leaked onto the Internet and, as expected, a single sentence has been dragged out, beaten and interrogated under a spotlight. This one; "The PS3 version compares poorly to its Xbox and PC counterparts." Which, in the parlance of the Internet, obviously means; "THE PS3 VERSION SUCKS! XBOX WINS! ANOTHER CRAPPY PORT!" But that isn't the case. The PS3 version just looks SLIGHTLY WORSE than the other versions.

The PC version of Fallout 3 is gorgeous. The colours are vivid, the draw distance is endless, the textures are high-res and the lighting effects are beautifully subtle, especially when you're gazing over the Capital Wasteland at sunset. It's the best-looking of the three.

The Xbox 360 version's textures are noticeably rougher than on PC, and objects in the distance aren't quite as clear. It does, however, boast an impressively solid frame rate. The game is, otherwise, identical.

NOW, the PS3 version looks the same as on Xbox, but things in the distance are slightly jaggier/rougher, the textures seem 'muddier' up-close and the frame rate is choppier, especially during the last few story missions (which may be the same on Xbox, but we've not seen the equivalent scenes to comment). We won't spoil anything, but the set-pieces here are MASSIVE, and the engine quivers under the weight of what's happening.

So, really, the difference between the Xbox and PS3 versions won't hamper your enjoyment of the game in ANY WAY. High-res textures or not, it's still the same huge, epic, absorbing, brilliant adventure.

And if you're bothered by a slightly inferior frame rate and fractionally blurrier textures, then perhaps, yes, you'd best buy the Xbox version, leaving the rest of us to enjoy an almost-identical, equally brilliant, game on PS3, while you smugly inspect concrete textures at terrifyingly close range to reap the full benefit, rather than, say, losing yourself in a 100 hour epic quest in an evocative post-apocalypse. Or having fun.

Good night.

Andy Kelly (the one who reviewed Fallout 3, and finished it on PS3.)

well at least the PS3 version won't be total crap

agree 100%
Thats somewhat incorrect,
Bioshock was homage to system shock 2 which was homage to system shock 1, and I think system shock 1 came out in the dos days... so unless the first fall out came out in the dos days, then...

Oh and I have Fall out 3 collectors edition preorded.. for ps3

Ah but Fallout was an homage (in fact, damn near a sequel) to Wasteland which predated System Shock by 6 years.

Total crap, no. But it's clearly the red headed stepchild of the three.

In any case, anyone who wants the definitive version will get the PC one, otherwise, the PS3 version is clearly the worst one, although it admitedly seems like a great game on any platform.

Oh well looks like im not buying this game, i will NOT gives developers my money for something of lesser quality.
i dont get these developers, you know if you program for xbox first the ps3 port goes to shit. if you didn't feel like making the ps3 the lead console, then why the #$% you couldn't do what IW did with call of duty4 and make 2 separate teams for each console? that game runs FLAWLESS on both systems. no version has a 1up over the other, IW knew the basic rule: dont make multiplatform game for 360 first, or else ps3 vesion end up crap.....obviously bethesda didn't really care for the ps3 version, so i will not buy this, they can shove the BD up there ass.

Ditto. Another thing I would like to add... I will NOT buy another Bethesda game until they correct their brains. Think what could have been if Fallout's world had been created to fit a BD 50...
