i know it says tba. but in the vid's end it does say fall of 2008...i have been waiting on this game for years . loved fallout tactics..this is going to be very cool.BOS ARMOR AT THE END OF THIS VIDEO IS PRETTY COOL...

I enjoyed the PC demo of the first game but never took it further than that.

o'l man you missed out on one of the best games ever fallout tactics is awsome..and this game i am almost 100%+ will be a very good game i have played all of the fallout games sofar and they never have let me down yet.

Man the first two games were great, Tactics kinda turned it into an action game and I didn't care for it too much.

But this is Fallout 3, so it's following the formula of the first 2! I can't wait.

Just reading about it in Gameinformer a few mos. ago wants to make me go out and buy it the second they activate the sku. This is a must have for any RPG fan. Bethesda knows what they are doing. They did Oblivion afterterall. They are sticking to the canon story line and said they are takin lessons from oblivion to make this a kick_____)insert word of choice here) game.

I dunno... the first Fallout was a classic. This looks like a dumbed-down version. There's still some of the campy 40's-esque imagery, but for the most part these screens don't give me much hope for the game sticking to its roots.

Nope, it's not going be GURPS Post-Apoc.

Looks more like a FPS RPG akin to BioShock really, although more on the RPG side of things.

Save for the name, this looks nothing like Fallout....

Fallout 1 and 2 were classics. I loved Fallout 2 so much, back when it was released, it was my favorite game...

I loved getting my character all leveled up and taking out the entirety of New Reno just for the hell of it...

Fallout was an RPG with an appropriate battle system and interesting side missions. I understand that Bethesda made Oblivion, but I think they should have left the game the way it was and just improved on it.

This game looks horribly dissapointing from a Fallout fan stand point...

The graphics look really sweet though.

Guess we shall wait and see.

The original Fallout was developed by Interplay, a company that I would swear was trying to cook its books in the late 90's by going public, and then reporting years of losses despite releasing some of their most popular and best-selling games during the same period (Descent, anyone?). I remember talking with some of their developers at E3 in 1998 and essentially being told that the "suits" were wresting control away from the creative minds that helped build the company.

It sucks, because since the early 80's they had put out some really GREAT titles like Bard's Tale and Battle Chess.

The rumor is they sold the Fallout rights to Bethesda in hopes of resurrecting the company and bringing back some of their big franchises. Keeping my fingers crossed here.

Still, if Bethesda is working on Fallout, then I have high hopes for the RPG elements of the game. Time (and a playable demo) will tell. But it probably won't live up to its namesake.

I think this game is going to be game of the year. It looks great. This, Bioshock and Resistance 2 are all day one purchases for me.
