I was on topic...I said wolverine was a ok movie..Nothing special...I like better action scenes...The action scenes in this IMO were worse than watching ultraviolet....And the last fight scene of the movie...I dont even wanna talk about it...thats how let down i was with it...You got a guy teleporting from side to side kicking people...Then gets his head cut off and while his head is spinning in the air..lasers shooting from his eyes...destroys the building they was standing on LOL....Was this the wolverine movie or a spoof film?

I agree. Sadly no one's been able to confirm it.

300 isn't my movie, I just use this site to keep track of all blu's in my home. There are other people in this household. I have said on many occasions how much I hate 300. If Dante's Peak and Volcano ever came out on Blu my father would buy those too But even as extremely gay as 300 was it's still better than any Statham movie of the last 6 years.

I wish it could be confirmed. What I don't get though is why did they use a different actor to play weapon XI!?? Why not just use Ryan Reynolds? He was more ripped than the other dude anyway.

Is it possible Wade really was killed by Victor? And Weapon XI was just a Deadpool bastardization?

He's probably a stunt/actor kind of like Ray Parks. Probably easier to shoot it that way. Could you have imagined if they would've cg'd Ryan Reynolds face onto him?

yeah he is!!! i wish i had the drive/will/disipline to make myself look like this!!!

i'm thinking the physical aspects of the fight might've been a bit much and they thought it would just be easier to use someone else that could already fight.

When a character's strength comes from mutated super powers, he doesn't need to be buff. Time had passed since we had seen Ryan Reynolds as Wade, and it's not out of the question to think that his muscle mass changed during the time he was being experimented on. I mean, his face and skin definitely look at least a little different, why would you expect his muscle mass to remain consistent.

And I'm going to guess that they had someone else play Weapon XI because Ryan was unavailable due to other obligations (i.e., the obligation that made the additional shooting necessary), or maybe the studio didn't even let Ryan know how they were raping this character that he had a vested interest in (if I recall, he'd been trying to play this character since back in '03 or something). I don't buy the idea that it was easier for them to shoot with a "stunt" actor, because Mr. Reynolds could've handled any of the stuff the actor that played Weapon XI did.

Weapon XI was played by a Scott Adkins, a stunt actor. On the close ups of his face though, it was Ryan Reynolds in the make up.

Either Wade was Deadpool or not.

My understanding from Stryker's explanation to Wolverine (something along the lines of "we needed your powers for the pool") plays back into Deadpool's name. When Wade was given the powers of other mutants Stryker dubbed him Deadpool. Now, I'm not saying that's how it happened in the comics (I understand they made lots of changes to the character anyway) but they refer to him as Wade before this point in the film, nobody calls him Deadpool until the end of the movie.

The product of Weapon X was Wolverine (the name Jimmy/Logan derived from the story his wife told him), the product of Weapon XI was Deadpool.

So if Wade found Weapon XI then Wade and Deadpool would not even be the same person. Deadpool, at least going by the film's explanation was what Stryker dubbed Weapon XI.

It also looks like Ryan Reynolds when they show Weapon XI's face for the first time, with the stitching in his mouth, shortly
[Show spoiler]before the general is murdered
I believe.

You mean during the part that was full CG? Yeah, he probably can't do that. But the dude is in good shape. Any fighting sequences, any wire work, anything. He could do it.

Anyway, I got the Wolvie in Japanland tease. Was hoping to see the Weapon XI one, because I really couldn't see what was going on at all when I saw that one on Youtube.

Oh, and to further throw fuel on the fire,
[Show spoiler]think about who actually identifies Weapon XI as Wade Wilson. Does Stryker ever say so? No, it's Wolverine. Was he identifying him by smell? Unlikely, because his smell would likely be different after all the experiments and such. He looks at him and says, "Wade, is that you?" Other than Wolverine calling him as such, he is not identified as Wade anywhere else. Stryker calls him Weapon XI and "the pool, the Deadpool".

But that's just a bunch of bullshit. I'm thinking that the folks who designed the story for the film wholly intended for Wade to be Weapon XI and for Weapon XI to be the film canon's version of Deadpool. Am I the only one who noticed the design around Weapon XI's eyes when he activated the optic beams? Sure looked an awful lot like the design on Deadpool's mask in other media. And notice that every member of Team X was touched on after Logan left. Bolt was at a carnival, presumably picked up and/or killed by Sabertooth. Blob and Wraith had also left, Blob gave info to Logan and Wraith helped Logan get to Gambit. Agent Zero and Sabertooth had been working with Stryker all that time. So what happened to Wade? If we go down the path that Weapon XI was a clone, then we must also assume that the story writers completely failed to touch on this member of Team X even though they had touched on the other ones.

I think it really is just fans trying to explain to Fox a way they can back out the bastardization they've done so that they can still salvage a decent spin-off movie featuring this character.
