They're both good so you could buy both!! 36 is a bit more commercial and MR 73 is pretty grim at times. 36 has been going cheap in the UK, it's available for less than £5.50 from Amazon sellers. Extras are English friendly too which is a disadvantage with the French versions.

Hopefully, Palisades Tartan release of this film fixed the subtitles from 'mouse' to 'rat' from the scene at the beginning that takes place in the bar.

I bought both films as a gift for a friend. He loves film and never heard of either film since they were never released theatrically in the U.S. They were a great choice, he loved them both. I recommend both highly.

I have this on the limited edition original French release DVD and love it. I also do have the Hongkong release but gave it away to my colleague. Watch so many time. Will upgrade to Blu soon.

That is one nice package. I'm a bit disappointed that the audio on the US blu is 5.1 instead of DTS (haven't watched it yet and cannot confirm).
