Yeah, it probably won't be anything like The Silence of the Lambs, but just just seeing Anthony Hopkins in that role again is worth the price of admission. He was easily the best part of Hannibal and the best part of Red Dragon, too.

Let's hope it gets fast-tracked.
damn it about time! hannibal rising was freakin dreadful!!!

So, young Hannibal chose his restraining face-mask when he was a boy, as his Peter Parker "superhero" costume?
Out of a lifelong fascination with Samurai armor, from the Asian girl in his youth?

That is just so "....Nnnnno. " in SO many ways.

(But another sad case history to throw on the pile next to "Why NOT to let the original book's author write the book sequel, hoping for the pre-guaranteed movie deal"--
Right next to "Lost World", "Gump & Co.", and that Roger Rabbit followup Gary Wolf was trying to sell.)

The television series, for me, is now the definitive version of this character, though I certainly love Hopkins in the role as

No. Of course someone could remake "Black Sunday" and somehow include Hannibal Lecter as a character.

Lol! Brilliant!

Anyways, there is an absolutely spectacularly excellent television show about this material now, and Mikkelsen is every bit as exceptional at playing the role as Hopkins.

How about a movie called Hannibals with Anthony Hopkins, Brian Cox and Mads Mikkelsen?

Here's the opening scene I've dreamt of.....

Lector walks into frame--a gunshot rings out, they show his lifeless corpse--a cop steps in and says "Good riddance." and the end credits roll.

I agree! I have yet to see the second season but I'm looking forward to it. I don't do it that often nowadays but I'll probably blind buy that second season.

To be honest with you I'd much rather see an old Brian Cox Hannibal with Michael Mann in the directors chair.
