I am, but I also see plenty of grain and fine detail on the new FR release.

Really wish the French disc didn't have forced subs. Would jump on it in a heartbeat.

The French disc has forced subs (I reviewed it for Retro HD).
The 2016 restoration was supervised by Philippe Rousselot.

The remaster is just gorgeous, the Sony US Blu-ray looks very dated in comparison....

Forced subs really stink! Looks like we'll have to wait for the US release. Who knows when that'll be....

Any word if the remaster is coming to the US? Or at least an import without forced subtitles? I love this movie and want that remaster. It's fantastic, but the forced subs kills it.

Another bump. Any news about this new re-master for the US or any country where it doesn't freaking have FORCED subtitles? I really don't understand why anyone would use forced subtitles...jesus. The re-master is just incredible...but the forced French subtitles suck...otherwise I would've got this immediately.

Bumpity bump bump. It looks like I'm the only one who wants this re-mastered version. I really wish there was a way to remove the FORCED French subtitles from the import. Any word of Sony re-mastering this and even making a UHD? Visually this is a stunning movie.
