no problem with audio.

The only thing i noticed is during a fight i usually get like a 1-2 second hiccup, like its loading or something. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yea I sometimes get this, I found it mainly occurs when they are up close. Doesn't severly affect gameplay though which is good.

IIRC the 360 is upscaling the game to 1080p. The game is a 720 (or whatever) source.

EDIT: Just noticed there's a whole second page of people saying this exact thing. Oops!

Such a great deep fighter so far. Man those random KO's suck sometimes though. Really have to keep up your guard alot.

This game is crazy addictive!!

Does anyone know how many levels there are for each discipline? Im using BJJ and Kickboxing, Im on level 2 and 3 respectively. The camp invite tasks for the BJJ are kicking my butt!! I can only manage 10-20pts each time.

Thanks

I belueve there are only 3 levels per technique. I am currently trying to take down Thiago Silva but I took a quick fight (Due to Dana White askung me) it was a bad decision. No matter how much I beat his ass he is so much quicker than me and his stamina is key. I've been close to beating him in a 29-28 decision but no luck otherwise. My only hope is a flash KO I am 8-0 but have no lvl 2 techniques I've only been successful on the ground vs him pounding him but he reverses everything. I really need boxing lvl 2!

if you won the title I assume you have pretty high cred right?? I thought thats what triggers it.

I didn't get camp invites until a little ways into the career mode...Im not sure what specifically triggered it though.

Are you sure you dont have any email where you are asked where you want to train and you can choose between either of your 2 disciplines? Once you pick someone, a few weeks later on your calendar it will show up as an event you have to go to.

Thanks

I just picked up the game last night, (never played the demo)..and took out my friend from WV 6x and his friend 3x. Played it this morning against my friend and won 3 more. didn't realize those games we played were unranked. So overall I've won a good 12 games. Then I played on ranked match and ended up 1-1. Overall it is a better game that I expected. I need to get better at the submissions and getting out of submission. I know you have to click R3 first then rotate the right analog, eventually your thumb starts to hurt trying to mash so much. Fave player to use in my opinion is Lesnar, Liddell and Griffin.

I know this is probably a longshot as scouring the internet has come up with zilch, but has anybody heard any rumblings about Randy Couture being offered as DLC at some point in the future?

had 4 friends over last night to play with me and my roommates. 2 guys who picked up the controller for the first time had the most epic battle ever. several knockdowns and the first successive player controlled submission i've seen pulled off with an armbar. i thought it was a fluke and they played again and got submitted with a kimora. extremely fun game for dudes.

I was getting so immmersed into the career mode, just finally completed level 3 training on one skill...then I get the email from Dana White telling me it's almost time to retire.

Looks like you can only go 7yrs in career mode...but this equates to 30 or more fights.

Also, when I made my fighter, I thought his age would come into play, but he's found the fountain of youth as for the past 7yrs the tale of the tape still shows 21.

Ok so I finally was able to connect to a couple matches online. Holy lagfest Shamrock!!!!

I hope they patch that or something...it's not like there are a bunch of connections, just 2.

What can I do with points? Are these for my CAF??

Anyways, if you want a match let me know. PSN: Barry26

i have questions about the techniques and such so experts please chime in. i mostly play online games so some of this situations may not apply to career mode and computer AI.

when you are in the dominate "mount" position and your opponent has a hold of your head how do you push them off? when i am in the guard i can push them off with a quarter circle on the right stick but the same manuveur in the mount just takes me to half guard.

how do you get to the position where the opponent is on their back and you are standing over them, in their guard, and punching away? its just like the normal ground guard but the aggressor is standing up. i've seen this several times and wondered if its a luck of the situation position or something you can control.

when you get rocked and about to get TKO'd is there any tips on what buttons or press for your guy to start defending and will his way out of the TKO or is this a combination of luck and your opponent being nonchalant when he's beating on you?

also tips on submission and get-out-of submission techniques. i feel like my right arm will develop arthritis from playing this game. do you guys mostly spin the right stick or tap buttons. my roommate does both by using his left hand to spin the right stick while his right hand is tappin buttons. success stories?

any other protips are greatly appreciated.

1. When the opponent has your head when you are in the dominant mount position you have to lets say in clock terms go from 8 o'clock to 3 o'clock but if you set it up right before you make the move with the analog stick you can see the hand position of your guy getting ready to push up. You just have to be patient and set it up before you just make sweep movements with the analog stick.

2. That situation is something you can control. Wrestlers have easy access to this position its the same major transition to get out of it. Or if you are on the ground you can hit R1 + Up on the analog stock and your fighter will cover his face. This position is not a good one to be stuck in though.

3. When you are rocked and are about to get KO'd you got to take into account a few things. If your not good at blocking you probably are going to get beat. You fighter moves slower in this position as well. Try to keep the hands up if you can get a standing clinch in then you might last long enough to come back to normal. This isn't easy to come out of especially with someone who knows what they are doing. Just keep your distance or try to clinch but by doing so you are wasting stamina which is important to you not getting knocked out.

4. Submissions- The type of fighter you are playing with determines what you should be doing with submissions. If you are a Brock Lesner strong fighter you are going to want to hit the buttons repeatedly to get out of the submission because your guy is stronger. If you have more skills in submission defense than your guy is strong then you are going to want to finesse your way out rotating the analog stick.

thanks! for situation 3, i meant when you get rocked and fall down and your screen changes colors and you lay on the ground defenseless then your opponent stands on top of you and starts beating the sht out of you. i've seen twice where the guy on the ground recovers from this and starts blocking then kicks the opponent away, recovering from an almost certain TKO. its like he willed his way from a TKO. is it just button mashing when you are defenseless on the ground?

When this situation happens you have 1 of 2 options available at your disposal. You have cover up and hit R1 + Up on the analog to cover your face but keep in mind you can still get hit...or you can do a major or minor transition half circle or 8-3 o'clock. Both scenarios are pretty hard to come out of but I have had success with the half circle. If you are successful you will kick him away from you and should have time to stand up. It's pretty hard to pull off.
