If Dunkirk is the same caliber as those last two films he made, it'll get 5 stars from me.

Besson is great but his casting of EyeBrows needs to be seriously questioned. That girl has been terrible, at best, in all her roles. $200 million budget and EyeBrows as a lead....COME ON .

Looking forward to seeing this.

As for critic reviews/Rotten Tomatoes, I never give them any real attention. The only real reason for me to read a review is to get a different point of view from someone who has seen the movie and may have picked up on something in away I had not. It seems we only put stock in them to prove whether a movie is good or bad....which is entirely dependent on the individual viewer in the first place.

So reviews be damned (even if this is being decently reviewed). Just relax and enjoy it for what it is.

I'll be at the IMAX for Dunkirk and I hope I get to see Valerian on the 2nd biggest screen possible.

Wait a second. I'm assuming you use the term EyeBrows as a slight. A girl actually has eyebrows made of real hair and not plucked out and redrawn like a pencil line or constant surprised look and people complain about this now?

I've been listening to some Valerian tracks by Alexandre Desplat, ... If it looks as good as it sounds, there can be some wonderfull moments on screen.

Your opinion, mine is that she is terrible and a BIG reason as to why this film is destined to flop at the box office.

I've noticed that the showtimes for this movie are rather limited.
I'm looking into getting tickets to see this after seeing Dunkirk but it's limited to two showtimes or three per day for 2D and 3D.

Is it a little early or are these set in stone? I feel if I wait until next weekend, it'll be gone from theaters.

Wait until your theater post their full list of showtimes for Friday in the next few days (or as early as tomorrow), that's what I'm doing cause there's not a lot of 3D times up.

Well the Arclight near me seems to think Valerian will not draw. As of now, they have Dunkirk scheduled in all three of their largest theaters and Valerian only showing in smaller theaters. They moved Apes and Spiderman and booked Girls Trip into the mid-size theaters leaving Valerian left to sit in some of the smaller theaters. That may change before the weekend hits. They add theaters on Wednesday and sometimes they move things around if advance ticket sales show more promise but I doubt it will get placed in the larger theaters.

The only thing Valerian is drawing in North America is flies, unfortunately.
