New today I found Expendables combo (with silver slip) and the remastered Dirty Dancing (disc-only version), $15 ea.

Still no Man in the Iron Mask...

You can add The Switch (with slip), Buried and Precious to that list. I think there were a couple more.

edit: I just remembered that they also had Daybreaks and The Hurt Locker.

The $5.00 titles are out, but are pretty weak:

CELLULAR
ETERNAL SUNSHINE..
DERAILED
REQUIEM FOR A DREAM
TRAINSPOTTING
MORTAL KOMBAT: ANNIHILATION

There are also some $10.00 titles like ..SLEVIN and HERO, but nothing we haven't seen before.

I picked up ...SLEVIN and CELLULAR.

I knew there was an issue regarding this title when I bought it, but couldn't put my finger on it.....glad you mentioned it. Managed to return it unopened....exchanged it for Smokin' Aces 2. Also picked up Cellular for $5 and Boondock Saints for $9.83 while I was there.

Will just have to wait on Inside Man until I find a red back cover.....not at Square One though....all black.

Doubt very much that any of them have it so I won't bother wasting my time looking. If anyone finds the fixed version, post it here.

I read this on this forum from 2009
"On the outside chance that a retailer may have failed to return the defective discs to the distributor, you can check by looking at the back cover of the package. The new pressing (UPC code 025192008252) has a red back cover instead of the black one the previous disc had. "

funny thing is mine has the black back cover and the upc mentioned above.

Same with mine. From what I remember, Inside Man never made it onto store shelves during the initial release and the movie only appeared 2 weeks after. Maybe they decided to do a new release with the correct issue. Only way is to see if you can even find the red back cover.

Well if anyone here has already opened their copy of Inside Man, it's best to check for the following defect as reported in the original article on the site:

"The glitch consisted in one of the surround channels going virtually silent for the last half hour of the movie."

If that occurs on these discs, then Walmart or their distributor didn't bother to return the original pressing which would be lazy and irresponsible on their part if true.

Walmart deerfoot mall calgary - all black covers Inside man. I also stopped by a Blockbuster - all black as well.

If any kind soul is near a FS or BB could they take a peek for the red rear covers?

Grabbed Young Frankenstein for $8 and Dragon Hunters for like $9.83 (or something?)... also grabbed the new Cannibal Corpse DVD for $13.97 (Thanks for not putting that on Blu jerks!)

Windsor location.

I priced matched with FS when Inside Man was on promo at Blockbusters in Feb. Paid $8.29 + tax. Back of rear cover was red.

I love Inside Man and bought it before i read this topic. The back is black, i already opened it.

I guess I'm stuck with it. If i ever see it for around $10 again, I'll try and buy the red one, then just sell this one.

Can i price match this at Best Buy somehow? It is not advertised anywhere as far as i know. Can i just take my Wal-Mart receipt to Best Buy to price match? I have never price matched, Lol.

Has anyone confirmed these "black backed" Inside Man copies are in fact defective? I picked one up but have yet to try. Not even sure what I am looking for as the defect description is pretty vauge.

Also, what has the studio done to correct the situation with customers. Not everyone reads internet message boards but can still be hardcore videophiles.

I swear my black version is good and no audio glitch for Inside Man. The rear channels are suppose to disappear in the last half of the movie and I haven't heard anything yet. They said you should be looking for the UPC code: 025192008252 if they haven't changed the cover yet.

Like I said before, I think the delay in Canada was longer so there was never any bad releases of the movie out so they didn't have to change the cover but I could be wrong as I have yet to see an actual red cover of Inside Man.

The copy of Inside Man that I bought at HMV during their last DVD trade in promo was the red cover one.
