Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th (2013)

I was telling another poster the differences between the two DVD editions of Never Sleep Again. They released it on their website, then again several months later in a version made for general retail stores. The later release, which has a "2-Disc Collector's Edition" banner on the cover, had a commentary track, although website pre-orders received a free Heather Langenkamp autograph.

Yup.

The autograph is on a small folded poster, so I kept that and ditched the original DVD when I got the later version.

The 2nd release does make the 1st release obsolete content wise.

Sorry about all the confusion I caused guys.

I just ordered Never Sleep Again and am awaiting shipment. I don't have the Elm Street set, and probably won't be able to get the Friday The 13th set this October, but these documentaries (I hope) will be an amazing substitute.

Never Sleep Again is excellent, and I'm assuming Crystal Lake Memories will be as well. At least no one will be able to criticize it for not being in-depth enough.

The pre-orders for the signed set with bonus disc will be the complete, new set they are still finishing up, with the commentary included? Is this correct? I already have the pre-order in for a signed copy but wouldn't want to miss the commentary. The v2 was in reference to Never Sleep Again?

All the discussion about V1 and V2 is in relation to Never Sleep Again. Nothing is missing from the Crystal Lake Memories set if you pre-ordered directly or from Dark Delicacies (the bonus disc).

Probably too late, but if you're interested I would go to the DD website and email them, as there might have been a few cancellations(due to the delay). If you do go that route, definitely post back here as others might be interested, yay or nay.

Since they were already waitlisting people due to volume, I doubt cancellations would actually open up spots.

Possibly, but since I'm not privy to that information I just offered up the best course of action I can think of.

I don't think the official list has been posted, but DD claims "30-40 signatures".

Thanks, but I guess it doesn't matter anyways lol, I missed out, but I have read this last page here and did not know this, there are 2 different versions of "Never Sleep Again"? damn, if so I did not know this, I got it when it first came out with the autographed mini poster by Heather, so what are the differences between the 2 Sets, is it major lol?

The only difference between the two versions of Never Sleep Again is as follows:

Version 1 came with an autographed poster

Version 2 dropped the poster and got a feature length commentary and if I recall correctly it had a pretty sweet slipcover too.

That's OK, it really didn't matter to me if it had one or not, as I said I have the autographed one anyways, I just wish this was coming out on Blu-ray, and I have zero interest in the German BD of this, 1080i\50 does not work for me.

I literally just received the two-disc set on Friday, and it was the two-disc version. It also came with the poster. It just wasn't autographed. It came with both the poster and an insert.

Speaking of, I got that documentary along with the More Brains! doc. I've delved into More Brains! first, and man that's an awesome set. It's a shame they couldn't use any footage, is the Never Sleep Again doc like that too?

NSA uses all kinds of footage. That is awful that MB doesn't...I've wanted to see it for some time now. But when they can't use footage, they always seem cheap looking to me.
