This would apply after its release. We dont even know how audiences are going to react to this. How about we wait it out until we know how it performes.

I just wish they'd held off for a late summer or early fall release date. I had to choose between this and Dunkirk, and the latter won out for this Thursday. Plus, my theater still hasn't posted Valerian tickets for sale. My group is going on Tuesday next week, so I'll be watching Fandango like a hawk on Friday and Saturday to buy those.

That statement does not just apply to this movie. Yet I am expecting it to share a similar fate to other films.

It’s been more than a thousand days that we have been sharing pictures and posts through instagram, facebook and twitter.

A thousand days since I have officially started working on Valerian.

I am writing these words in order to thank you! Your words of encouragement and your likes helped me throughout this whole adventure!

I tried, from time to time, to answer or like your pictures, but I didn’t have enough time to do it more often.

This experience has been incredible for me and I see now, with a bit of nostalgia, this chapter coming to an end.

In a few days, the movie won’t belong to me anymore. It will be yours. I entrust it to you. I deeply love it. So take care of it, love it, defend it, and support it, because without you, it won’t be able to grow.

You know how hard it is to release this kind of movie, as it’s hard to exist between giants such as Marvel and DC Comics. Many times I felt discouraged, but always got back in the saddle. Your continuous support made a big difference!

While Dane DeHaan isn't who I think of first with the comics in mind, I do believe he's a good choice. That behind the scenes video shows the two leads share a certain chemistry and above all are very playful, that's exactly what's needed. I'm ok with this cast because of the simple reason I can't think of anyone who would fit these characters.

Do they want to see that glorious graphic nudity on a bigger screen? Or hear booty-hole in crystal clear audio?

Probably has something to do with Nolan being the only reason IMAX is as big as it is today. They had a year to change the release date of Valerian after it was announced, and they either wouldn't or couldn't. Valerian isn't getting "kicked out" by Dunkirk, it was never going to be on IMAX screens as long as Dunkirk existed in the first place.

IMAX shows non-IMAX trailers all the time, btw. Theater chains can stick trailers for anything in front of an IMAX movie.
