Ok I’m definitely getting that SteelBook set. It looks like two SteelBooks (one for regular Blu-ray, one for 4K) in a slipbox, which is perfect.

I hate having box sets for on-going series, because then everything is split up. At least if I have SteelBooks, any other movies in the series can go next to this on the shelf.

Not sure if this has been asked already but has there been any info yet on a European release date?

Well now we know why Best Buys listing was $90.

Reminds me of this:

Tyrok, do you know why Best Buy has three 4K UHD listings for this? All with the same price tag. I suppose one is the steelbook release and one is the ordinary release, but what is the third?

Probably just accidental listings. Any 8 digit sku for a movie or CD is just a 3rd party listing by their distributor Alliance. They will likely be removed and relisted with a proper Best Buy 7 digit sku just like what happened with the Tomb Raider steelbooks.

Of course best buy is gonna get a steelbook. Would swap my amazon pre order but since this is gonna be at least 8 discs. The discs will most likely be stacked on top of each other.

Officially cancelled at Amazon and ordered the steelbook set. Looks like a 4K case and a Blu-Ray case. Hopefully I can get $15-$20 for the blus and that $15 will come in handy for the IMAX.

That steelbook set will probably be stacked discs, as with the Best Buy exclusive Spider-Man 2-steelbook set.

Awesome steel book! The nice thing is I can eventually swap out a couple of the bds and add in the 4k discs of JW 2 & 3 when they're released.

Hmm. I’m really not sure which version I like more. Can’t decide which to buy! If the SteelBook has stacked discs, I’ll probably go with the regular version, which appears to have more artwork anyway.

lol yeah, but personally I’ve never had any major scratching issues with sleeves. Stacking makes me more nervous.

I like that you get the outer sleeve with the steelbooks, I love the sleeve artwork and I'm a sucker for steelbooks, thats pretty much all I order nowadays.

What makes you nervous about stacked discs? I’m genuinely curious, I see a lot of people say how much they hate them.

The only thing I don’t like about them is it makes it slightly more inconvenient when you want a disc under the top one. But I’ll take the saved shelf space as a fair trade off! Like, I love the Transformers 5-Movie collection SteelBook. It’s great having all the movies in one really cool case.

Same thing for me: increased chance of scratched discs.

Exclamation Blu-ray versions

I sincerely hope that the standard Blu-rays of the first three movies (but most importantly, JURASSIC PARK and THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK) are the 4K restorations.

It would be a huge shame if they weren't. I say the same thing for the Blu-rays included in the upcoming UHD editions of 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY and BRAVEHEART.

Did The Lost World get restored in 4K? I thought it was just the first film. I really don't picture Universal spending that type of cash on a sequel with a mixed reception, even if it did make them a boatload of money in 1997.
