Sony only has theatrical rights for the HBO productions released by Tri-Star. Warner/HBO obviously own TV and video rights in the US, though overseas rights on some of them can be different. German BD of The Hitcher (2.35:1 film) for example was reportedly licenced from MGM (who owns Cannon, also the overseas distributor) and used their HD master (which opened with a flat widescreen Cannon logo tacked on to replace Tri-Star's).

I had that EXACT same reaction after watching I Start Counting. It also helps that Fun City Editions has been a welcome addition to films I can watch with my wife!

Also preordered. I haven't seen Smile in over 40 years. I never bought the dvd because it wasn't anamorphic. I made that mistake on the ancient dvd of Semi-Tough years ago and once was enough. Really looking forward to the end of April. Thanks FCE.

I showed my wife (who could care less about blu rays) the slip for "Jeremy" and she went CRAZY for it! She wanted a poster of it lol.

For real... FCE is my new "gotta have them all" label. These releases and FILMS are so unique. I've been having some issues lately with snapping up premium packages but just not loving the actual films, which has been a bit of a bummer. But every FCE release contains the guts and not just a pretty exterior.

So excited for Smile! That art looks FANTASTIC, and I was just telling my wife last night, "I really hope they get an interview with Bruce Dern. He's still around!"

Pre-ordered it and went ahead and grabbed Jeremy and I Start Counting too! Already got Alphabet City. :^)
