I can always count on the unannounced Heat 4K disc thread for the best in never ending Star Wars arguments.
Spin a wheel if the content of a Blu-ray.com thread will actually have anything to do with the actual title. |

Doesn’t every thread on here eventually end up being an argument about Star Wars OT v PT v ST?

My surround setup is currently in storage and I've just been watching stuff either with headphones or even just my TV's internal speakers, and you know what? It's completely fine. I barely miss the surround audio at all and sometimes I even prefer it the way it is now.

Just some mid-range Bose ones, forget the model. All through my 20s I had studio apartments and did everything at a computer desk using headphones, so I'm just used to it. I have a media room now with a TV and recliner and such, but I still just use headphones because everything else sounds weird to me.

You mean because of hearing damage? Haven't had any of that yet, in fact my hearing is much better than my wife's due to her teens and 20s addiction to concerts, but I'm keeping an eye on it. Any sense of loss or tinnitus and I'll change my habits.

I use headphones for practically everything and have for over 20 years, my hearing is apparently good enough that I’m often catching sounds that no one else is bothered by. I also still hear the high frequency buzzing from CRT tv’s and power lines, which most people stop hearing in their late 20’s. Lol
Headphones are only bad if you play volume too loud, but then it could be the same with speakers too. |

I can still hear electrical currents easily, and I've abused the shit out of my ears for most of my life. I think some people are just naturally more prone to hearing loss than others.
