I read this criticism all the time and yet It was never inviting to kids in the book. They knew something was off with him from the get-go. That and he appeared in many forms other than Pennywise.

Trailer was okay but this film does look miles better then the TV films.

I really like the trailer!

Just watched it on youtube.

B+ for the trailer. I just hope I like the movie now. Looks like it could be a classic and not panned on RT - here's hoping! The cast seems decent in this version in the acting department, to me.

This movie seems very Elm Streetish to me in a part 1 way. Whereas, the miniseries from '90 seemed more Elm Street 4 parodish.

I'm looking for an Elm Street 1 '84 again. Meaning classic villain and a movie that is remembered. I hope IT is that movie in the Fall with a Pennywise that is very memorable.

(The miniseries? Tim Curry as Pennywise was good and was probably the only thing that made it remembered, although the kid cast was decent for it in 1990 too. I thought the adult cast was an atrocity and poorly cast, even then, as a kid when I watched the movie on ABC. First half was decent and the second half was awful. It's not just now because of a new movie; it's what I thought back in '90.)

Just watched it. Looks interesting but there wasn't enough for me to get a solid opinion. I really hope its good. I also really hope its not like Stranger Things.

Unfortunately i laughed 3 times. When George hit his head (in the book he just slips and grazes his knee), IT swinging that hair like a catwalk model and then the final shot of IT with that red bull energy.

Also, stranger things has ruined it a little for me as that was all i could think about.
