Katherine is NOT more powerful than Damon, not sure why he hasn't killed her yet. Actually now think one of the Lockwoods may do it, they don't seem particularly fond of the vampires, well the older Lockwood seems to want peace, even after being stabbed.

What makes you think Katherine isn't as powerful as Damon? She's much older than him and has a resistance to vervain. If I remember right she's already slapped Damon around once before as if he were a fly.

My sister is reading the books and told me there are HUGE differences between it and the show but Katherine is super powerful in it.

Damon is more powerful than Katherine because he consumes victims like he breathes air and fights a lot more than she does. I can't believe they've flipped that so much for the show. I do like her though, sort of an alpha female character and the fact that it's Nina Dobrev makes it even hotter.

The older you are the stronger you are in this show so Damon si not more powerful than Katherine.

As we know more about Katherine the more you start to feel for the character, which sucks! I wanted her to die but it looks like there is some humanity even in her.

So, now that Tyler knows how to activate the curse I wonder if he'll kill someone. If he kills either Jeremy or Alaric, does that do it?

I dunno, Mason sounded quite stubborn about not letting Tyler change so I would imagine at least for now he will leave it alone. Meh I still like Elena more than Katherine so I don't care THAT much about her, I just think she's hot. Does Caroline have a ring, I guess it would make sense so she can still go to school and stuff.

Damon actually isn't a very good fighter. Elena even had to save him once. Also, we don't know how much Katherine drinks but we do know she prefers human blood as Stefan gave her some from Damon's stock and she made fun of him for not drinking human blood.

And yes, Caroline has a ring. Bonnie made it for her... speaking of which - where was Bonnie last episode?

Jeremy and Bonnie strike me as characters that will kind of take a back seat this season to the Lockwoods and Katherine, would like to see a bit more of other vampires and werewolves as well.

I doubt we will see many werewolves. They make it sound like they are nearly extinct. Of course they could go the Underworld route and "say" they were hunted to near extinction but in reality the werewolves simply got smarter and went into hideing. It's just too bad we don't get the Underworld type of werewolf.. they are SO much cooler.

Alas, budget restraints and this is a vampire show.

The writers said Jeremy would start to fight back this season and not be that sad little kid anymore. I don't see how they will accomplish that if they keep taking him out. He wasn't in last week's episode and this week as well.

If there is a vampire vs. werewolf thing coming up it can only be Damon vs. Mason and I don't think Damon would win. Katherine did warn Damon not to be reckless but he's underestimating Mason.

That's true. Stefan will always have Damon's back no matter what happens which is kind of pathetic, he can't keep forgiving him forever. Eventually we will see a Salvatore showdown with Stefan high on human blood to level the plain field.

I think they're done fighting each other to the death they are brothers after all, at the very least they seem to be at a disagreeable impasse. Maybe in season 3, who knows?

Wow! Another good episode tonight. The plot thickens. More revelation tonight. It's getting harder to keep up with who knows what with secrets coming out and the twist at the end with Katherine and Mason-- I wonder where that is going. I love this show!

Forgot to turn off my recorder so now I've missed the second episode and tonight's, dah I have the worst luck when it comes to seeing this show. Really do need to get season 1 soon, think I missed like half of that.

Great episode indeed. This show has some great eye candy. The wolf guys are seriously HOT... especially Mason.

The CW should be the eye candy network lol

Well she definitely like supernatural guys, we have no idea what his type is so it shouldn't be that surprising. Could turn out to be quite a dangerous tandem for the Salvatore brothers to deal with, though.
