It looks like the US is still getting their 15 with the addition of NXNW, which is Warner not Universal. So what movie is newly missing from the UK set? 1. Saboteur (1942) 2. Shadow of a Doubt (1943) 3. Rope (1948) 4. Rear Window (1954) 5. The Trouble with Harry (1955) 6. The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) 7. Vertigo (1958) 8. Psycho (1960) 9. The Birds (1963) 10. Marnie (1964) 11. Torn Curtain (1966) 12. Topaz (1969) 13. Frenzy (1972) 14. Family Plot (1976) |

I was confused about this, too. However, I counted fourteen discs in that shot of the set and its contents. Bear in mind that '13 classics from the Master of Suspense' is preceded by 'For the first time on Blu-ray.' Psycho has already been released.

That's right, we don't have to worry about that. There are 13 films new to Blu-ray but we're getting 14 movies.

Ok, I preordered again on Play, just out of fear I will never get this. Seriously need to sell some things on ebay to be able to afford it by then though haha. Why so many expensive/great things out before xmas this year?!

Okay this is interesting. On the Amazon in the United Kingdom first you could pre-order 'Alfred Hitchcock: The Masterpiece Collection - Limited Edition' and I think it was like this for a while. But one day I noticed that you could no longer pre-order it. Later (maybe 3 or 4 days later, but I am not sure) I noticed that you could pre-order it. After about maybe 7 or 8 hours I could see that you could no longer pre-order it. Then last night I went to Amazon and I could see that you could pre-order it. So not sure what would happen next I went and pre-ordered it right away. Later when I went back I could see that you could no longer pre-order it.
Anyways I made my order last night. I ordered it with these 3 items. 1. The Beyond on Blu-ray 2. Deep Red on Blu-ray 3. Planet of the Apes book by Pierre Boulle (this edition has a 3D cover) Last edited by little flower; 10-06-2012 at 07:46 PM. |

Same thing happened with the Titanic set as the release date got nearer, people cancelled their orders for the collector's edition. I know I did!

Alfred Hitchcock: The Masterpiece Collection - Limited Edition the UK version is now removed from Amazon uk , does this mean they reached the limit in the number of orders or they removed it because of the technical problems, my order still shows delivery date on the 5th of Nov can anyone help explain whats going on ? does Amazon usually removes a limited item if it was sold out before the release date ? or did they cancel the whole thing all together what do you guys think ?

It means they have pre-orders totalling up to the number of units they expect to receive for sale, so they don't want to take any more pre-orders they may not be able to fulfill.
If enough people cancel their pre-orders, then they'll make it available again for pre-order on the website until their allocated numbers are used up again. If you've got a pre-order in and acknowledged, then you're fine. *If * for some reason Amazon had to cancel the sale, like the manufacturer cancelling the product, they'd let you know by e.mail. |
