Well, here's mine.
Taken last night.

I owned a couple of JVC RS500s with a similar issue (referred to as "bright corners") although less severe than that photo but still found it completely unacceptable especially in my black room. My current X500 is perfect in this regard.

I know it is the TV's problem.
I was just showing how bad my 4k UHD LG TV is.

The BD has this flat piss yellow look to it while the UHD comes alive with deep shadows, much more lifelike skin tones and amazing contrast. The extra detail is obvious in every section of the screen from the camel fur in chapter two to the spots on Willis' back in his apartment. This ain't no subtle upgrade. Good god and holy Jesus, I'm gonna go A/B some more discs I thought were subtle upgrades like Days of Future Past.

However yes, the sharpening on the special effects is slightly more obvious. Bummer.
Thanks for that!^. I just bought my first 4K TV and player
[Show spoiler](55" Hisense 4K TV and a Philips 4K player)
this past week, they replaced a 32" 1080p LCD and a Sony BD player in my bedroom. Viewing distance is ~4'. Anyhow I already sold the old TV and was going to sell the old player as well, that is until I read your post^. I will install that BD player next to the Philips 4K player and I will be doing a whole heck of a lot of A/B ing since I am new to 4K.

And I just bought The Fifth Element 4K and it will be the 1st 4K movie that I have ever seen! As of now Planet Earth II is all I have and it has been a joy to watch!! .....Hmmmm tonight I am gonna have to A/B Planet Earth 2 with the first one just for the fun of it.
Thanks again StingingVelvet!

Or a full-array local dimming LED display. Sony makes some great ones, 900e is priced very competitively too. ($2,000 65" compared to Samsung's $2,000 65" with considerably worse top/bottom edge-lighting.)

That blooming is how my first full HD TV looked like back in 2008: Sony 46W4500.

I should've quoted your post. Now that you've deleted it, it looks like I'm just tooting my own horn.

Well, if the shoe fits: beep beep!!

I mean, not a good shot, but this is my Vizio P65 with Kong Skull Island from about ten feet away at an angle a few nights ago.

Smartphone doesn't do it any justice but the black level is great. FALD LED is the way to go if you don't want OLED.
