Sony is just really scared of over producing. Just today I had to send back all but 1 copy of a bunch of Sony titles because they'd rather send those few copies to stores that have 0 then to produce more. No other studio does this. They all want at least 2-3 copies of everything in stock so they don't have to send more after selling just 1.

Which demonstrates yet again how little patience they have for physical media, they've had to write down so much moolah off the back of Blu-ray that they're exceedingly wary of over-committing.

Default Boy am I glad I hit that order button first thing in the morning

The day this was released. I got the only copy at my store; didn't realize just how rare this would turn out to be.

BB kinda bungled this with that limited steel package availability, of course then Amazon runs out of stock. Want to find a copy, psssst check local Target, even though the site says $29.99 they were locally marked $19.99 this week. They of course price match Amazon if price is higher.

Best buy gives you a $5 credit when buying the SteelBook this week.
I bought mine on the 11th, and they actually retroactively credited me.
I love Best Buy's customer service!

Default Rewatched this a second time with a good friend of mine last night

Just wonderful a second time through; those colors! I can't get over how this UHD disc has literally breathed new life into the video presentation of this 20 year old movie. I've seen this so many times and it looks like that won't be changing anytime soon with the UHD version

agreed on all counts, aside from the "such an old movie" comment. What are you, 12? Damned kids today....

I can't remember which thread it was in. But we were talking about the "light bloom" on tvs.
Well, here's mine.
Taken last night.

My top left is similar to your bottom left, so I got a bias light and it really helped

Room lighting, behind the TV, that feigns you into believing the black levels on your TV are "deep" and "not bad."

I kid, I kid. Though it is kinda true. I'm getting bias lighting with my next TV upgrade, possibly even something like this below on my computer monitor.

That seems INCREDIBLY distracting!
And there was a TV about 10 years ago that had that incorporated into it. I didn't like it then, still do not.

You can get a normal soft light, that's what most people do. I just want something like that on my computer monitor (55" KS850D) because it makes gaming pretty cool.

Try a commercial Dolby Cinema screen that has the floor/stair red lighting bouncing back onto the lower corners of the screen and you have AMC Tysons Corner

I had that. Yeah, I hated it, but the Exit Sign reflections are worse and are at every cinema I go to.
Then again, that's part of the normal theater going experience.
That and really dirty screens that never get washed!

At home, there shouldn't really be any distractions.

Strictly the TV's problem. Not visible on OLED sets and probably the best LCD.
