They even had a version of this (although it didn't turn out the same way as the comic)

Jesus, stop the hate man. If you hate the movie just move on. Its already stated Hawkeye is off on some kind of mission, Ant-Man is dealing with his own stuff. Not bad writing, you're just being a hater.

Really loved it, kinda miffed though that both Nick Fury and Mariah Hill returned in post-credits only to get instantly wiped.

I don't think we will ever see blood (alien or humaniod) gashing out in any of these movies...Disney won't allow it. But seriously he took a direct hit with the Stormbreaker and Thor just embedded it even more....there is no way his internal organs didn't take any serious damage. I am wondering what is powering his teleporter? You would think if it was some sort of device on his belt that the Avengers could have destroyed and trapped him...but he was still strong enough to pull himself out of the Stormbreaker...geez....

Difference in opinion is not being a "hater". I enjoyed the movie a lot, but some of the choices in story were really poor.

I am a MCU fanboy. I get hyped for every movie they release. I loved Civil War, Avengers, Winter Soldier, Guardians, and almost every movie. Even my least favorite is still good for me (yes, The Dark World too).

But Infinity War didn't have the same effect on me than everybody else in this forum. I think it was good, but not WOW, not better than Winter Soldier or Guardians of the Galaxy, how is that possible? A movie with the best villain and the best team of superheroes ever being not as good as a Captain America movie?

I dislike the ending with passion. I was THIS IS PERFECT!!! for the first 2 hours, but the last 20 minutes was kind of meh to me. I don't know if it's my age or whatever, but i can't believe people really get emotional about half of the characters dying when they already announced sequels for most of their movies. NOW, my reaction would be entirely different if they killed Black Widow, Hulk, Thor, Captain America or Iron Man, why? Because their future in the MCU is pretty much unknown.
Killing characters who will be back to live next year seems like a cheap tactic to make people talk about it for 5 minutes after leaving the cinema, like Batman V Superman, and then be like 'Okay' when the next movie is announced and all these actors are included.

Also, i don't think they made all these characters justice. Thor? Sure. Thanos? Sure. Gamora? Yes. What happened to the characters on earth? Black Widow and Banner got a 'Hi Nat'. And then no interaction, no interaction in battle between Cap and Bucky, Cap and Falcon, Black Panther??? he was an extra, almost no dialogue in the wakanda scenes, and a lot happened off-cameras, like Banner calling Steve, how Steve and Widow find Vision, etc. But of course we get 20 cheesy lines from Starlord.

The movie could benefit from an extra 30 minutes. It wanted to be Lord Of The Rings kind of epic but it didn't build enough make me feel it was worth it.

I love your post. Spot on. The ending was done for shock value but it is obvious these characters won't stay dead which defeats the entire point of the ending.

How old are you?

It's hard to rank Marvel movies because they are all so good. Even my least favorite, Iron Man 3, is still pretty good.

My audience was wild.

They applauded when when
[Show spoiler]the title card for Wakanda
showed up and went absolutely nuts when
[Show spoiler]Thor joined the battle.
The only death they really reacted to was
[Show spoiler]Groot. One person even said not again.

but wait a moment the "sequels" that "prove people wont stay dead", are not necessarily set AFTER this movie in the timeline.

So realistically, until the NEXT Avengers movie, we wont actually know who makes it and who does not etc?

At least thats my take on it.

Thanks. I'm 30. Sorry if my english isn't good, i tried to express it the best way possible.

The movie is fun and great overall, but if they undo whatever Thanos did on the next movie and the characters are resurrected then the consequences and everything that happened on Infinity War will be pointless.

After reading what pabloccb had to say above, it reminded me that I really felt this movie needed an additional 20-30 minutes. This needed to be a 3 hour long movie and that made certain aspects feel rushed, especially in the beginning of the movie. It is weird because all of the scenes felt fine to me but could have really benefited from the extra time. I wouldn't have minded more time with Vision and Wanda at the beginning of the film.

I also agree about the character deaths. Gamora's death scene was a great scene and all but there is no way that they keep her dead. The first GotG was had such focus on Peter's mother being dead, the second was about his father never being around and then when he shows up he is insane, now what? Will the third GotG be them mourning over Gamora's death after they FINALLY say "I love you" to each other? Not a shot in hell she stays dead. I can see the reunion in my head already. Nebula and maybe Drax will be the Guardians who die in the next film.

All of the characters that had little screen time in this movie will play a bigger part in the next. Specifically referencing Hulk and Nebula off the top of my head.

My biggest hope for Avengers 4 is that we see some of the main characters actually die.

Thats why it really should have been Pt 1 and Pt 2 as originally planned.
That way these scenes that felt rushed, could of actually been longed out over 5 hours worth of movie.

I dont really know why they changed that up. I have NO problem with knowing its only part 1 going in?

I'd say the main reason is so that the movie could have as much action as possible in it. Despite absolutely loving Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, it was very slow and I saw where people weren't nuts about it. If Infinity War followed this slow pacing then it would have gotten pegged for that too.

I'm comparing this to the final 2 HP films because it pretty much is the same situation. One major villain, final films in the series, big war, etc.

Thumbs up I saw it last night.

First things first: This movie plays great with all of its many surprises. If you haven't seen it, get the hell OUT of this thread, and stay off the internet, until you've seen it. Trust me.

It is stated that Hawkeye and Ant-Man cut deals to retire under house arrest, in order to be with their families. Also, in the PCS, Fury is talking to Clint just before the Infinity Rapture.

Thanos' "teleporter" is the Space Stone. He has immediate mental access to its power, same as any of the other stones.

Your English is better than mine and I only speak one language. I'm in my 30s as well. I thinkbyou get to a certain age and some of the story lines just don't work anymore.

Unless it really makes sense for the story telling, I prefer my dead characters to stay dead. And if they bring somebody back to life, it should be kept minimal. Good examples are Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, Gandalf in Lord of the Rings, and Obi-Wan in Star Wars. All three rebirth worked great.

But when Spiderman, Black Panther, and the Guardians of the Galaxy are alive again in a year, then the Avengers 3 ending loses its strength.
