There's clearly a sync issue. Check out 1:00:28 - exactly as the mean girl taps her hand twice on the inside of the car window after making the awful "joke" about her father buying her a better car. The taps are clearly out of sync - the sound is late. I definitely can see the sync issue throughout the film, since the lip sync is noticeably off. Just slightly, but enough to be very annoying and unacceptable for a modern film. Those who aren't noticing it either just aren't picking up on it, or maybe their receiver is compensating.
This should get a replacement program. While they're at it, give us the 3D version as well so we have choices. But they won't do that, so at least fix the sync. |

Just tested my disc and it's all good. Zero issues that scene.

I didn't notice any pervasive audio sync issue (US disc) and I was looking pretty hard (well, as hard as I cared to while enjoying the movie
![]() Dialogue sync for the most part looked natural, likewise gunfire, explosions etc. Having said that, there did seem to be a dubious moment or two. The bit that mar3o mentioned (the double tap on the car door) did catch my eye as being out. |

Well something's clearly wrong if so many are noticing the issue. As I said, maybe your equipment is auto-correcting the delay? I can't see why some discs would have the issue and some don't - that doesn't make any sense.
Also, not everyone is as sensitive to sync issues. I've had sync issues that I considered very annoying yet my girlfriend couldn't even see. Then again sometimes she can on some discs. |

And it's very well documented that some people CAN have issues while others can't based on systems and system setups, decoding between various components, etc. |

It’s certainly miles ahead of any of the Bay films except the first one which I still like better than bumblebee. |

I just saw this last night, and it was awesome! Definitely my favorite transformers film since 1986!
The Good: The opening scene on Cybertron was awesome! The Blitzwing battle was epic! Charlie was a great character, and not annoying at all. Bumblebee was pretty cool as a character. The Decepticons were pretty awesome in this too! The Bad: It really didn't make me believe that they were in 1987. Sure they had cassettes and Vinyl, but it just didn't seem like 1980s in ways that Stranger Things does. The Ugly: Why did Bumblebee just have a designation? Everyone else had a name, why not him? |

In Bumblebee, all the things in the home were very 80s. The amusement park scenes, all the cars there, the color, the clothes, very prime 80s. The cheap hotel when the guy's car got blown to bits seemed 80s. The music was prime 80s 80s. And it did a vastly better 1987 than Adventureland which was mostly more like 1977, 1997 and 2007 than 1987 (other than for some of LisaP, but then she was sort of overdone a bit in clothes at times, and also oddly made to seem like the odd one out almost). Adventureland still had all the kids using nothing but records in 1987! No CDs. No tapes/walkman. The cars all looked like 70s cars. The style in the homes looked too old, more like maybe their grandparents homes might have still looked. It had the brainy top of the class kid smoking cigarettes and sitting around getting high summer nights, totally NOT what that sort was doing in '87. In '77 or '97 maybe but not '87. Anyway, not that I should be going on about Adventureland since you didn't even bring that one up. But ST S1 almost had a trace more of an Adventureland feel than Bumblebee, although it did do a better 80s than Adventureland did 87. It will be interesting to see if they go full on prime 80s look for ST S2/S3 or still try to stick a bit more early 80s, afraid to quite do it sort of thing. The only thing is it was a little weak on the big hair (but not exactly like the others got that). And at least Charlie had a sort of Joan Jett-ish hair while in Em in Adventureland had pure hair from the year the film was shot and Em was all obsessed with Lou Reed and that was made to seem totally mainstream for 1987 when it wasn't at all, at least Charlie's obsession made more sense for the year. For curiosity, how old were you in 1987 and what post 80s movies/shows set in the 80s do you think get the 80s feel/look down the best? Last edited by WBMakeVMarsMovieNOW; 04-20-2019 at 05:49 AM. |

I received my US copy from WOW HD today, and it comes with some sort of little comic which is literally about 3 or 4mm bigger than the case, so it doesn't fit inside.
Why on earth do the manufacturers do stuff like that? It's quite annoying! |
