Boom! see the dedication we have here?

Statik, heres the posting we found regarding someone who had challenges with the pins...

pins replaced

Contact JMB via pm, or hopefully he'd chime in afterwards regarding this challenge. im sorry to hear you have a little bit of 'blemishes', heck, if you see mine, ive had a couple of my own. considering the amount we've invested in this, and take that to heart to recall what a great purchase (despite its few flaws) it STILL is.

AH, the story continues. half man, half machine, hobbit as a whole.

In regards to your scratch, you can use a walnut or brazilian nut, rub it along the scratch, and the natural oils left behind would seep in, making it darker. or you can get some good ol 'old english oil' and rub some on it.

No way. We don't believe in short-term relationships. We believe in marriage. Jomari is willing to perform the cermony.

If you get another ED, you will definitely lose your current girlfriend and ruin any chances of having a long-term relationship with a girl in the future. After all, there are no girls on earth who can compete with a pair of ED's.

Great thanks. His post sounds like DD was really good in helping him out so that gives me some confidence.. I will not be able to get a hold them tomorrow.

It's all so tempting..since I am moving out soon and into my own place which will have the perfect home theater room for me. Treatments, projector and everything..and yes a second sub and a possible upgrade on my front soundstage. For now, these subs look tempting

This is exactly why I do not like ordering off no name websites from no name companies.

Also, is the grill supposed to snap on or stay? Mine doesnt really latch on .. it just kind of falls off. Wth!
Sorry to hear. Mine came today and it also has some minor damage to the top left rear corner. Which just happens to be the bottom of the box as shipped. I got the HD-SUB12 in black. I won't be able to test it out until the weekend or maybe next since my stand isn't here and it hasn't even shipped Sometimes ordering online sucks! I emailed them this morning so we shall see what happens I could live with the damage, assuming the thing works. My grill seems fine it pops on and off easy but not too easy. So I'm probably a bit luckier then you. What model did you get? I'd like to know how you make out with them and what they offer you. I asked for a partial refund since UPS likes to destroy anything I get from them. The next one will probably be in even worse shape.

Default Damaged HD-SUB12

Well they got back to me today on the damaged sub and offered me a new sub or a partial refund. The response was fast which is a plus. The damage is pretty minor but visible. I think I can glue the piece back on and since it's black cover it with a marker. I'll always know of course that it isn't perfect but I don't think it will be too glaring. It wouldn't be so bad but that is the side that will be facing out into the room. They want me to determine what it would be worth to me to keep it as it is, or of course take my chances with UPS on a new one. Any thoughts guys? I was thinking since I got a really good price for it to begin with (170.00) 30 bucks seems about right. That would make it a 150 total for the sub I think I could live with that. Am I too high too low or about right? Let me know what ya think.

Thanks,

Bill

If you are setting the damage value at 30$ .. then think of it this way. Pretend your sub came mint. If your friend came over and said.. I will give you 30$ if you let me damage your sub. You would probably say no! Personally, I would get a new one. Otherwise 30-50$ sounds about right. That is probably what they will eat from shipping anyway.

Won the auction on a Sunday night, shipped on a Monday morning, arrived at my house on a Friday morning. UPS.

The ol' girl is performing very well lately.

Usually about 4 to 5 days. The subs are double boxed and the shipping is free, but I have no doubt that they get thrown around. As a student, I worked for UPS in the graveyard shift. They paid well, but it was hell.

In part I agree with you about letting them replace it. The problem is there is an even better chance the next one will be in even worse shape. Since their packing meets UPS standards and they still manage to damage it. You could be right that I am low balling it at 30 maybe 50 is more like it? I did get a much better price though buying it through Ebay then I would have buying it off their site so I was figuring that into the total. I was hoping for a few more opinions.

Update on damaged sub. DD setup UPS to pickup the sub tomorrow and once UPS verifies it they will ship me another! Good service so far!

I ordered it from Deep Discount and it shipped the next day from Chicago (from DD, not AC). Luckily I live in Indiana so it was one day shipping for me .

Oh wow... I live in IL, so that might help expedite things... I'm finally thinking of going with this sub versus the others I was looking at because it's got the lowest frequency response, lowest price, and seems like I should be able to get help via this thread with questions should they arise... allright, BD and company, I think you've talked me into it.

Don't blame me when the mailman drops the credit card bill in your box.
