Monitor Outlet still has the KRP-600M for $3k. You'd still need to get a stand for it.

My 60" elite has been deliverd!

They came at 7:45 AM!! my brother wakes me up saying thers a BB truck outside, is that for you? lol. i didn't know they were coming so early.

The box is massive! and so is the tv! dont have a stand yet, but im looking at the BDI avion 8527 http://www.bdiusa.com/theater/avion_8527.shtml nice right?

Right now im just checking for things. i ran the slides to check for dead pixels but i didn't see any. thats a good thing.......the buzz is extremely low. i have to put my ear behind the tv to hear it. thats normal right?

I couldn't figure out how to make it go through all of the slides. i'll have to read nugents post again.

I hooked my PS3 up to it and wow! the XMB looks so much better. but thats the half of it. i inevitably put on the dark night and HOLY MOT^$^$##$78&%$$&**&^$% ......the beginning IMAX scene looks out of this world on this tv and its size. compleatly different experience. im going to check out some other movies also.

I dont have a camera, i need to buy one. but my brother has a camera phone so im going to have to use that to take pictures for you guys. sorry.

So far i love this tv, no regrets, and no going back to LCD .....Its hurting even more that pioneer wont be making anymore TV's

Nope they stopped doing that awhile back if I remember correctly. Congrats again mate! I gather you're not working today

DK's imax shots are unbelievable...you should try Kung Fu Panda, POTCs, Baraka, QOS, Casino Royale...they all look ridiculous!

$75 is a little to much for me for a demo disc. i think i'll try asking bestbuy or my dealer first.

Mine was manufactured in Dec '08 and no sticker.

As far as the slides.........just put copy and paste them on to a flash drive.
Then when you pop the drive in the settings will pop up for viewing. Select how long you want them to show, I went with 60 seconds each. The main thing is to be sure and select "repeat all".

That's all there is two it.

I did set all the settings according to the recomendations by "D-Nice" over on AVS. It looks awesome! I have not done the ControlCal thing at this point.
Maybe down the road when I get bored I may give that a shot.

Congrats and Enjoy the new set!

Someone posted this elsewhere in the forum.
http://www.demo-world.eu/trailers/hi...n-trailers.php

You can download some stuff from that demo disc.
One in particular I downloaded was "Sync Of Beauty"

They are big files being in HD of course. The one above is 4 seperate files.
You just need to unzip all 4 once downloaded. This will be a M2TS file.

Transfer that to a flash drive and it plays perfectly via the USB input.

I told him I was interested in the 151 and I have been researching it for quite awhile. The price was $4799, I asked if there was anyway he could come down a little? I told him that I know that they have had the same 4 sets lying around for for over 3 months and I'd like to take one off your hands. He told me that there is no way he could bring the price down, I said could you please ask your manager? and tell him I don't need the free delivery or free setup that you offer(I had my stepdad's van) that should help with the price. He came back 5 mins later a nd told us "sorry, he said $4799 is the lowest we can go otherwise we will get in trouble with Pioneer" (My heart started to race) I showed them printouts of Saprano saying he got his 151 for $3999 at his local BB and told them about the guy in Minn that got one for $3500. It did not help me one bit. Then I asked if I could use my 10% off coupon? They said nope that is for regular priced items only! F@@K ME! what the hell! I said could you atleast sell it to me for $4500? He asked some other salesman and said sorry sir. This was my worst experience with BB since I have been shopping there! $4700 was all the money I could spend, thats all. I am so dissapointed with BB. I cant believe this! these Aholes have 4 151's instock! and would not deal with me. Looks I wont be dancing anytime soon with you Saprano
might want to try other BBs... I've been shopping around and got different offers, depending on the managers... may also want to get some other local dealers to make offers... the BB salesperson may try to match any local competitors... then you have some leverage...

Saprano, She looks beautiful.......

I wish I had the money at the time (back in February) for an Elite, but they were hard to come by North of the Border (Canada). SO I went with the Pioneer Kuro 5020FD. This Plasma Rocks!!! Everytime I watch I count my blessings how I stumbled to go with this decision, over a Samsung LCD. Also I bought my screen before the news broke about Pioneer ending production of there Plasma Line.

Congrats again.....on your Elite.

Was wondering (being a fellow Pioneer owner) if anyone could help me out. My current setup has the following.

Plasma TV - Pioneer Kuro 5020FD
Cable Box - Scientific Atlantis SA8300HD PVR
Blu-Ray Player - Sony BDP-S350
Receiver - Yamaha 6160B
Speakers - Bose Acoustimas 6 Speaker System
Remote - Harmony One

I have it setup the following, (easy)
Rogers Cable TV Box - HDMI to Receiver IN
Sony Blu Ray Player - HDMI to Receiver IN
And then HDMI-OUT to the Pioneer 5020FD, everything works great, with the receiver sound ect...thru the Bose Speakers, HOWEVER major hiccup. When I pop in a USB stick to the Kuro USB slot I see all the media (MP3 Files) and they start playing on the screen, but there is no sound? Maybe the Kuro is thinking to use the TV Speaker, which I dont have setup, What do I have to do, in-order for it to send the sound to my Bose Speakers thru the Yamaha Receiver. Wouldn't mind putting on a few tunes and let it roll.....

Any info greatly appreciated.....

Thanks again

Bro you don't have the 5020 connected to your receiver. Get a toslink cable, plug it into the audio OUT of your Pioneer and run it into the receiver.

This also allows you to plug HDMI directly into the TV and then run the audio back out to the receiver. HOWEVER(!!!) you won't get the HD audio from your Blurays if you to it with your bluray player. I use it to get discrete video settings for my Xbox 360 and my DirecTV DVR, but run my PS3 directly into my receiver.

Thanks man, I was just relying on the HDMI but obviously I needed something from my TV to the Receiver. Enter the Optical Cord, and all is well. Its just temporary. My Blu-Rays will all be going thru the HDMI cable.

Thanks

Got a kuro 2007 kuro demo disc from my local dealer today. and i was looking at B&W speakers so he gave me their 2009 catalogue also.

I wanted the summer 2008 disc but they didn't have extra copies so he gave me and old 2007 version. funny thing though is i told him i got the kuro elite for a good deal at bestbuy last week (i dont know why i told him that) and he said why should i give you a demo disc when you didn't even by the TV from us?.......i told him they gave me a good price. he said i didn't even try to negotiate a deal with them. (Truth is i did 3 weeks ago. i told him i want to buy for 4k, he said no)

I told him i could return the TV to BB and buy it from you lol. he said no, the trouble is not worth it for me and you lol.

Being a good dealer that they are, he still gave me the kuro demo disc.
