What are you doing on a Non-Horror thread Doctor? Shouldn't you be in the lab microwaving some corpses or something...?

Interesting that the framing is still different to the US version. It is somewhat in between the old SC remaster and the old US version.

From just a very quick glance at those caps the compression looks really good, that these discs are HDR10 only lends credence to my theory that it's the DV+HDR10 dual-layer encoding that's shafting the HDR10 compression of the StudioCanal John Carpenter UHDs.

I am really hoping that someone posts a comparison of the UHD First Blood to the Canadian Mongrel Media version that I recently acquired since it blew the old Lionsgate away.

Isn't that exactly the same transfer as the older European StudioCanal discs?

Not sure why screenshots #3 on Rambo II was re-framed? It's just a regular steady arial shot which tilts up. On the 4K UHD now a vertical black bar is created on the right.

WOWHD Canada has these for $23 each for those interested. No tax and no shipping when I order from them either!

I was going to order from them but Evil Dead and Step Brothers took almost a month. Amazon.com has them for $14. Works out to about $80. I'm also thinking these might be like American P and The Punishers and show up at Best Buy. They didn't have them listed on their website but had them in store.

Careful, one of the members here pointed out that StudioCanal's new Fog 4K remaster that defaults to 2.0 is actually a downmix of the 5.1 and not the original mono track.

Really? Doesn't seem that long for me. Maybe 2 weeks? It was $69 with them.

Does anyone know if these are new BDs with the UHDs or the old ones that looked terrible?

Yeah you got yours crazy fast. I think mine took so long because of the postal strike. That's another thing that worries me. Will most likely take a lot longer. I'm going to keep my with Amazon and if they don't ship on release day I'll pop in Best Buy. They are also going to be $7 on Black Friday so I assume Amazon.com will have them cheap as well. It might be better to wait. Not sure what to do.
