Another Goodwill auction win with some things to keep and some to trade in next week. Picked up October Sky via Amazon. Going to use it as part of our "teaching with movies" class with our homeschool group later this month.

Came in yesterday right before I had to leave for work so I didn't have time to upload then. Dracula Untold and Unbreakable are used, but in great condition, from the Bay and Virtuosity marks my fourth and (for now) final Vinegar Syndrome order until they come up with another film I really want. Once again they came through with the packaging. And I now have three of my favorite M. Knight films on 4K and I have grown my modern Universal Monster collection.

Came in today from the Bay. Brand new. I will just take the nice slipcovered 4K Blu-ray out and put it on my shelf for the sake of space. I know I have issues out the ass with this movie, but I still enjoy watching it sometimes and it is entertaining and there is just so much potential that will sadly never be realized. Too bad the VR thing no longer works. I tried to go to the site on my phone and it looks like Universal has taken it offline. That sucks because I would have liked to try it just for the novelty. And that about does it for my modern Universal Monsters collection until the Nosferatu Steelbook comes in from Walmart next week... I hope. After the Wicked debacle I am worried. I did get a notification from them saying my order was shipping soon and to check my address so maybe that's an encouraging sign?

Came today from the Bay. Did not intend to rhyme that (or did I?). Brand new. So I am a week late here. Walmart f**ked my order for the Steelbook up. "Oh we are so sorry it is out of stock." Even though I placed my order for it waaaaaaaay back in November. Outrageous. Also there is Walmart's, at least my local ones, horrible stocking practices in their stores where they almost never have new releases on the shelf the day of release. Jeez I miss the old days in this. So I went for this. It is a very nice slip. I may get the Steelbook at some point if I come across it, but honestly this slip is very nice. Colorful and shiny. Love the embossed title with pink and green reflective highlights. Gorgeous befitting a gorgeous film.

I know it's a budget TV but, my 50" Vizio looks really good. So, with 15 more inches, it's gonna be an awesome upgrade. Got to wait until my TV stand is delivered tomorrow to test it out. Can't wait to start watching movies on it. So excited

I know you can't do it here but I'll be looking for your thoughts on this when you've put it through its paces.
You didn't ask but might I suggest SW Ep III. I find the fast paced action and incredible color to truly be a great test for a display.

Thank you my friend! I'm absolutely positive you are correct I've been trying to think what will be my first movie on it.

Here's a few i'm thinking of starting off with. So many good ones to choose from. It's gonna be a whole new experience. Any suggestions are welcome.

I humbly suggest Blade Runner 2049 as an option. I was gonna recommend Pacific Rim and Top Gun: Maverick as well, but it appears you don't own them. You need these my friend!
