It's a intriguing film, I think. Yes, dialogue and performances are great.

Managed to find a copy on eBay for a not-unreasonable price.

Caught it on the Criterion Channel recently, as it's leaving at the end of the month.

RE 12 Monkeys UHD replacement, even though I got it direct from Arrow, it turns they didn't automatically have a record of my order for some reason, so I had to request a replacement from them. I would recommend that anyone who hasn't heard from them do the same, just in case.

Arrow's site is listing their 4K UHD of Videodrome for pre-order £30 (RRP £34.99) but HMV has it listed for £24.99. Is this a mistake and will HMV honour the transaction I've made? I had also pre-ordered The Oslo Trilogy for £24.99 and that price was quickly amended soon after to the more regular £44.99.

I'm wondering if these two transactions I've made will be honoured. Anyone else done the same and what are your thoughts?

I presume the replacements apply only to the new 4K uhd and they're not doing anything about the older blu ray from 2018? Not expecting them to repress that but if there was a replacement I'd opt in.

We'll just have to wait and find out, nothing else for it. My uneducated guess is that they'll be honoured.

Sorry to say I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm hovering over Videodrome myself as £24.99 is pretty good. Only problem is I want the other one with the original artwork. Is it worth the (potential) extra tenner.......?

Doesn't Arrow do original art on the reverse anyway?

Yeah I had the same thought but seeing as that original artwork or variations of it are featured elsewhere in the package I thought what the hell. It's significant if you're minded to resell as the original artwork limited releases tend to sell out quicker and consequently command a higher OOP price.

It has a card slip cover, which has the artwork done for the Arrow release. I know a lot of people like it, but I'm not a fan personally.

I'm not particularly a fan of the horizontal flipping of images as done between the case cover and booklet cover on the original artwork release unless there's an obvious specific reason.

I’ve had quite a few misprices over the years, and HMV have always honoured them.

That Videodrome set looks so dope. I'm totally getting it because I love the movie and the posters that Arrow makes.

Yeah I think especially since it's not too much cheaper, it should be fine.
