I like Truffaut's Les 400 coups [The 400 Blows] quite a lot.
With the upcoming Antoine Doinel collection on 4K by Criterion, I've checked if there was a French release of this.
There was, I'm happy.

I’m getting that 4k collection! I have an old Truffaut DVD collection with these films. “Les 400 Coups” is my favorite film of all time. Easily. I’ve watched it quite a bit. It is the OG “Coming of age” film.

At first I thought I wouldn't like Truffaut's films. The first of his I watched was Jules et Jim, which I felt to be too silly. It’s understandable. I first saw “Les 400 Coups” in a film class about the French New Wave. Also took a class at the same university that compared and contrasted Spike Lee and Jean Renoir films. Renoir’s “La Grande Illusion” and “La règle du jeu“ are also favorites. That professor had a huge early impact on my love of film. I yearn for more Renoir in 4k, specifically “La Grande Illusion.”

Jean Gabin was a juggernaut with star power.
He starred in so many excellent films.

Two more Goodwill lots wins to start here. First one didn't have a whole lot I wanted to keep or had already, but it was cheap and I got a 4K upgrade for Ready Player One, so that made it worth it.



Second one had more Disney/Fox movies that I needed along with a few other ones to keep like the Addams Family movies. Enjoyed those in the theater the first time around so I'm glad to have these now.



And last night with the ones from these lots to trade in I got all these below for less than $18. Getting to be some slim pickins at these stores since I go there often but they had these at least that were of interest. Looking forward to the National Treasure series soon since I've heard so many good things about it.
