![]() ![]() My side speakers are mounted directly to the walls and my rears are sitting on shelves, so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it, but that just seems like an awfully large difference. I even built a "back support shelf" for the rears hoping that would help bring them down a little, but I've ran Audyssey three times now, with pretty much the exact same results each time. It actually sounds amazing, but just seeing "150hz" on the screen for the rears bothered my OCD. ![]() One really cool feature on my 809 is a "built-in SPL meter" for adjusting the sub(s) before running Audyssey. It puts out a test tone, and tells you to adjust the gain level on the actual subwoofer to 75db(72db each for two subs) shown on the TV screen/AVR display. With two subs, you just turn one off, adjust the other one to 72db, then turn that one off and do the same on the other sub. After setting them this way, and running Audyssey, my adjusted sub level in my receiver is set at -0.0- ![]() Thanks again for the generous offer, but I'm very happy with the Audyssey settings. ![]() |

Well, I meant something like a movie marathon, but instead I went in there and looked around, then got out my measuring tape and started making sure my speakers were nice and symmetrical, and then the next thing I know, I've spent almost four hours in there rearranging and lining everything up, and making sure everything is level.
![]() ![]() Now I just need to run Audyssey, after moving everything, but it's freakin' raining again, and there's some idiot a few houses over mowing his yard with the loudest lawnmower ever made, in the dark and the rain! ![]() ![]() How are you doing? ![]() |

Thank you for laughing at my calamities.
![]() ![]() Thanks Bill. ![]() I may not have the nicest setup in the world, but I try to squeeze every single ounce of quality out of what I have that I can. I'm a pretty laid back guy about most things, but when it comes to my HT, I'm very OCD. ![]() ![]() I just ran Audyssey for the 4th time, and the conditions were perfect. No thunder/rain, lawnmowers, or redneck neighbors at all. Just absolutely perfect silence. ![]() ![]() I really don't know why I feel compelled to keep rerunning it, because it sounds fantastic! ![]() ![]() (Yeah, right) ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I think i might have damaged or blocked one of the color strips ports (the blue/right one) on the bottom board and that might be the culprit. Im really lost too what else it could be. I've taken the stuff off and back in so many times now that im getting dizzy. |
