He did the hair metal look. Guys probably been on the wrong side of fashion his whole life. I don't give a shit about how dumb his hair looks. I also don't want his personal info. That's kind of creepy. I just want the guy to not be so shady with his business.

This thread has taken a terrible turn, feel like I'm watching daytime talk shows geared toward gossipy busy body old retired women.

New low for you lady's.

While you're at it why don't you go look up Chaos, Point Doom, Gangland and the Wrong Side of Town too in the copyright office and each movie has a different date of birth. Everything on Heavy Metal Massacre was a incorrect. It says in the credits it was written and directed by David DeFalco. That is incorrect. It was directed by Tim Petrone who was 11 years older than me at the time. He also did the copyright under my name. There were reasons why he did this that I'm not going to get into since you guys seem to think you have all the answers anyway.

The US Copyright office allowed for the registration date for Heavy Metal Massacre to be back dated?

Refusing to tell you story only makes it look more like you don’t want to get caught out in a worse lie, dude.

Not true. I have to look in the mirror every day and explain to the guy staring back at me why I even bother coming to this thread. The image in the mirror suggests I'm a masochist but I don't know.

Looks like more copies of Zombie Nightmare have been reanimated back to life.

Are you sure? Wikipedia says he was born on October 13, 1977.

I’d love to see a documentary on the man, the myth, the demon himself.

He makes me laugh. Especially when he posted pics of himself at the gym saying he's coming for DeFalco.

I don't mind not having the slipcover but also not paying extra for it if I'm gonna put it in a drawer
This goes back to what the main purpose of the encyclopedia collection. If the main purpose is to have the collection in your possession, and keep it on a shelf to look at, then you would most likely want a complete uniform set. You still might want to own the later mismatched volumes if that is all you can own.

If the encyclopedias were an old time capsule that were fun to read, I would still be happy to have and read them regardless of uniform appearance.

Anime TV shows used to be released in individual DVD volumes. Companies would sometimes change text placement, font, and volume number alignment. Though it wasn't desirable from a shelf aesthetic standpoint, you would still be able to enjoy the rest of the show which was the main reason for buying the release. The same is true for manga, comic book collections and American TV shows. Heck the Simpsons released Seasons 6-8 in plastic character heads vs a cardboard case. I don't work from home, my friends aren't into collecting movies/wouldn't judge if things weren't uniform and I usually only look at my collection when I am selecting a movie. So a missing slipcover or change in spine design won't be too aggravating.

Ideally you wouldn't have to buy a dust jacket if you didn't want it. That's why I love companies like Vinegar Syndrome and Severin that offer slip cover-less versions during release. If you don't want the slip cover, you don't pay extra for it. Though it's a limited run, so many collectors would go for it.

If you want to see the movies, I recommend picking up the release. That way you won't miss out since it's not clear if a slip cover-less version will be released. Also what happens if they go back and release slip covers for volumes 1-5 after you wait for a slip cover less version of volume 6? Not a big deal, but if shelf uniformity is important to you, it's something to consider.
