(Now I'm imagining an alternate history where I chose Guy Pearce as my avatar instead of Arnie, and what might have been...what might have been...)

And since we're talking about movies we watched, I rented Daddy's Home last night (free FandangoNow rental). Mediocre Will Ferrell comedy, as you'd expect, but I will say all of the jokes and references made earlier on pay off nicely in the third act. I'd struggle with whether to buy it even for $4 on Black Friday, but it was okay for free (just barely). I didn't laugh much, TBH. That Linda Cardellini though... The FandangoNow service is very nice, BTW. I hope it lasts.

I had heard that the newer DVD combo was better due to extras that weren't on the single BD release. I guess I could be wrong.

Same transfer? All of the extras are on the DVD? If that's the case, meh, I'm perfectly content with my cheaper $5 version which has (arguably) better cover art - although neither of them are going to win any awards in that dept.

Seriously, if I remember correctly, the combo-pack used to be cheaper than the earlier/single-disc release. Hell if I really know why, I guess.
