Well..MP lost another 30% of its value today (as of now)...from $.10 a share to $.068. How low can it go? If it ends the day at 7 cents a share, expect a lot more gray to show up in the app. Is it making it through the weekend?

Atom Tickets Launches Sweepstakes for MoviePass Customers' Dumping Service

Online ticket service Atom Tickets has launched a sweepstakes for anyone dumping MoviePass. The winner will receive a year's worth of free movies, valued at $4,380.

According to a press release from Atom, "Break-Up Sweepstakes" is designed "to help ease the pain for MoviePass members as the service suffers from repeated technical outages, blockbuster blackouts and an uncertain future."

Anyone can enter the sweepstakes by tweeting a picture of their cut-up MoviePass card to Atom Tickets with the hashtags #MOVIEPAST and #ATOMSWEEPS between now and Aug. 31.

Separately, for this week only, Atom is offering a free ticket to MoviePass subscribers and anyone else once they purchase a ticket on the Atom app.

That's absolute insanity. The highest prices around here are $12.50 for evening at Alamo Drafthouse. Other theaters are $10-$12 for evening/night showings.
That's Manhattan for you. Before I had Moviepass, I would only go to AMC before noon on weekends when they have $8 matinee tickets. But yes, a regular 2D ticket here is extremely expensive. Of course, now AMC has $5 ticket Tuesday so if Moviepass finally dies I guess that's when I'll be seeing films.

ETA: Matinee pricing here only before noon. Early evenings, afternoon, prime time 8pm, doesn't make a difference, you still pay the full price. Just checked and Regal at 1:40pm is $17.15 for a standard 2D movie.

I have seen 80 films so far with Moviepass (seeing my 81st tonight.)

The showtimes for Three Identical Strangers just disappeared. Was going to see that after work today. Is this Roulette at this point?

You have a chance to win at Roulette. Wouldn't surprise me to learn they're tracking your location and show times disappear the closer you get to the theater.

Happened to me this morning. Box office opens, matinees disappear. 12noon, afternoon shows gone. Only evening with Peak remain. Only a crazy person is going to hang out for 6 hours to wait for a show time.

There’s a Studio Movie Grill near my place that isn’t blocking off Mission: Impossible - Fallout, and I just checked in. Woo hoo!

From Reddit:

I got a similar chat response from them yesterday when I finally got a response from Sunday.. They gave me the usual spiel about check the app before you go to make sure your showtime is eligible, and I explained that I did and it was. Actually it was still eligible when I got there, but their app errored every time I tried to check in. Of course they still say they won't reimburse me because they didn't tell me to buy it, even though there was no way they could have told me to, since customer service is unreachable most days.
