well reviews that goes over a simple " i found the picture quite good. " or " the sound appeared generous to my ear". "I watched it ! it was good !"

and believe me there is a lot of that out here xD

By real review i mean

Full test of audio and video. DV, DA, Bass analysis.
And comparison with previous UHD.

We all want to know how the new atmos mixes fare against the previous DTS X mix.

i guess that is what i expect of a review. i want a " woman in the red dress" review ! glossy, sexy and generous !

Anyone else holding out hope, assuming Universal will do a 7-Movie 4K set, featuring the new 4K discs from the recent trilogy Steelbooks, as well as Rebirth?

Still haven't found anyone with anything to say about the new Jurassic World disc. Has anyone seen it? Anything noticeably different? I don't even think the disc artwork is different than the previous one. All the JP trilogy discs have a new picture on the disc but I don't think JW does. Makes me wonder..

I have. I'd call it a refinement, but a welcome one. It does look better with DV, but the prior disc was already top notch.

So it only looks different/better with the Dolby Vision? Is there any noticeable difference watching it without it? Thank you for replying too, btw..

Gruv already has one listed. No details on the specs though.

In france, all 6 movies have the same artwork as before ! No effort whatsoever ! Only DV and DA logos added ( and of course the right master).

Disc art is new for the UK sets. Instead of those previous multi-language discs with no fookin title on them at all - because we wouldn't want to offend anyone with the native title for a film - they now have their titles and just the UK ratings logos. Alas, when you play them there's no American menu with proper text instead of those ghastly symbol menus, these having been authored strictly for Europe.

They put out new versions of these films pretty much every year. I would bet my life savings at some point there will be a 7 movie UHD set.

Actually the french disc artworks are not exactly the same as they do not use the usual age logos.

but they do use the same scenes used on the previous discs.

My 10 year old just sprang on me that he wants to watch Jurassic Park (for the first time!) tonight.

Someone give it to be straight. Do I put in my original 4K disc, or do I watch the updated version through Apple TV? Core memory about to be made here, folks.

Disc! And I say that BECAUSE it'll be a core memory for your son. Expose your kids to as much physical media as possible, so they can remember that magical experience of holding something in their hand, popping it into a machine, and watching magic unfold on the screen -- without accessing it on the invisible cloud. Enjoy!

I’m going to go with Apple TV. It just looks better with the updated transfer, disc or no. I doubt he cares about the disc, but you could pretend it’s the disc by putting it in and then tell him to go get the sodas while you load it up on your ITunes
