Do hope The Longest Yard and Hustle are going to be released on Blu-ray. Watched both again fairly recently. Both excellent. The brief attendance-at-the-American-football-game (the L.A. Coliseum) scene in Hustle always stands out, among others.

Speaking of Aldrich, I went back to watch The Last Sunset last night via my Kino order and liked it a lot more than I did initially.

I've always acknowledged my Aldrich fandom, but sometimes I have to remind myself how kickass he was. When it comes to the pantheon of great "guy movie" directors, Aldrich sits prominently alongside names like Hawks, Siegel, Sturges, Peckinpah and Hill. He's also responsible for a canonical noir and two of Davis' late career triumphs.

In addition to the above-mentioned, The Dirty Dozen has needed a new release for what feels like an eternity.

Burt and Catherine Deneuve

I'm hoping we also get Catherine's other Paramount owned movie (Cinema Center Films' The April Fools) which showed up in HD at digital retailers two months ago

Aldrich is one of my two or three favourite directors. I would say his work sits comfortably alongside that of Siegel, Sturges, Peckinpah and Hill.

My personal favourite Aldrich film is Ulzana's Raid.

Yes, The Dirty Dozen Blu-ray is badly in need of a remaster.

What it also make it perfect for a blu-ray release is that Paramount produced an excellent HD master for ITunes/amazon etc.

There are lots of Paramount titles (HD master) that look quite bad or average but the HD master of "Hustle" is excellent.

Not sure who owns it, but any chance for the underrated Dabney Coleman action/comedy, Short Time?

It’s Pat looks uniquely terrible, and it’s a Touchstone film so I doubt it’s every getting released again. I must jump on immediately.

I can usually justify any WSL title, especially at their heavily discounted prices, but I had to draw the line on that one...for now

Tarantino's second best script after Pulp Fiction.

On letterboxd it has the distinction of being the lowest rated Kino title, which is saying quite a bit can’t lie.

I believe they're saying it's NOW out of print, formerly in the WSL sale. I couldn't even find the old page for the BD. I guess the movie still lives here. As a Ween fan, I had to pick it up when it was $4.99.

Also has a song from Mark Mothersbaugh. At least one person working on this film had taste.

Just posting this here because there are a lot of knowledgeable posters in this thread.

I’ve been wondering why the Ann-Margret film The Swinger from paramount doesn’t have a release on disc. I get it that the movie is not so great, but prime Ann-Margret in dancing tights on Blu-ray would certainly have some redeeming qualities.

And here I thought I was the only person to buy the movie for that reason. Admittedly, there are few other reasons to see it. All hail Boognish!

Marathon Man and Truman Show 4Ks. Who's it gonna be, Kino or Paramount direct? I'll go with Kino. I can just feel those announcements coming.

Kino Insider - Since you seem a little more forthcoming in relation to the Paramount deal over the past 24 hours, any chance you could say how many (if any) of these are included (by which I of course mean numbers, not specific confirmations)? No worries if not, but I thought I'd chance my arm in any case.

The Vulture
The Penthouse
The Strange Affair
The Deserter AKA The Devil's Backbone
(if still with Paramount)
A Gunfight
Terror in the Wax Museum
