Thanks. That's true. Morgan will be the 2nd leader of the gang, then John Marsten as the posse.

That would be wicked. I'd be surprised, as Rockstar rarely does that, other than offer new costumes as in RDR, which was really cool. Actually, what am I talking about, in RDR 1, we got to play as the
[Show spoiler]son.

Cool, enjoy RageATL. Nice to hear the connection to RDR's music.

R* more so came on late to acquire the motion capture tech from Team Bondi used in LA Noire and ended up with the publishing rights for that game.

GTA V re release or remaster I wouldn't even consider that a true re master since that game came so late and at the end of the PS3/XBOX 360 era and all R* really did was add a FPS mode and continue to take advantage of the crazy behemoth know as GTA Online.

R* has never invested they're own time or hired a 3rd party company like bluepoint games who remastered SOTC, God Of War past gen games etc to remaster any previous popular R* games.
As you mention they also re-released GTA V. GTA 3, SA, and VC have also had multiple releases on different platforms

None of them were true remasters though. R* never spent time to re do the graphics or improve the game engine and didn't add new features to the games with the exception of GTA V versions of PS4.

The rest of the games like GTA III, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, Bully, Manhunt, the Warriors etc. Were made available on different systems and platforms but it's clear they were just ported over and running on emulation software.

Read the original post you quoted. I never wrote remaster. I specifically wrote re-release

Nope, it's definitely the truth:

https://www.gamespot.com/articles/re.../1100-6438770/

Sam Houser's frantic e-mails to Leslie Benzies during the period when RDR's sloppily-compiled codebase was falling apart prior to release are especially interesting, here. Benzies was/is an absolute coding wizard, and pulled the game back together again just enough to get it into a releasable state (it's why the release-date was delayed from February to May of 2010, the same day that Alan Wake came out).

Yup. For several years, the Housers tried to get Take-Two to fund a "Rockstar legacy team," whose one and only job it would be to update the codebases of all their classic franchise-games (GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA IV, etc.) in order to keep them viable on next-gen platforms and not simply running on emulation (a total codebase-refactoring, in other words, similar to what Square Enix did for their Final Fantasy X, X-2 and Final Fantasy XII remasters on PS4), but they've steadfastly refused to do so.

But Red Dead Redemption would ultimately require so much more work than even these games that we'll never see it ported over except via emulation (as I mentioned earlier, this is the reason why there's never been a PC release -- the code is such a kludged-together mess).

Probably both. The article doesn't say it's exclusive to physical or digital. I'll be getting the physical copy of the game.

$20? They crazy with that. Looks like its standard for me. The extra mission is the only thing Im interested in and I dont think it'll be worth $20 extra. I can skip on teh gameplay bonuses

Even though it's a complete scam that it doesn't include the game, I pre-ordered and paid for the Collector's Box from the Rockstar Warehouse. For YEARS I've been saving a spot on my shelf for a Collector's Edition of Red Dead 2 and that one looks sick as hell. It exceeded my expectations. I will also get the Ultimate Edition. I don't buy many games, I only get like one per month on average. But for this one, I'm going all the way.

Will I get the bonus if I pre order digitally or do I have to pre order the physical? I’m buying the collectors set now.

I don’t know what to get this on cause I have the first one on Xbox one and then I $25 credit on PSN so the Special Edition will only cost $55 out of pocket.

I would imagine that the ‘bonus’ material will be included on both the digital and physical. At least, it is on rockstar’s site...

Wait a second now. The "Collectors Box" includes a bunch of junk for $99 and no game? You don't even get any of the exclusive DLC? So to get everything you have to buy the box for $99 and then the SE or UE for $79 or $99 with the only difference between those two being a steelbook and online extras?

What a world we live in.
