McBride seems to imply that II will be canon as well. Even though this article is from a year ago, I just think everything after II will be ignored. https://www.cinemablend.com/news/162...-danny-mcbride Carpenter has come out recently and said all the sequels will be ignored, Its all confusing, I'm sure once we get closer to the release date we will hear more for now I think II is going to be part of the new Halloween film. At least I hope Last edited by hYPE; 02-13-2018 at 09:29 PM. |

The most recent thing I read from McBride was that even H2 is being ignored, after previously suggesting it wouldn't be. He said this film will act as if the first film ended "slightly differently." (Perhaps after disappearing from the Doyle's yard, the Shape was later captured by police or something.) But now there's Nick Castle with a picture of his hand covered in what looks like burn make scar make-up, so who knows?

Michael died at the end of H2. As much as I like H2 I kind of hope they start off after Michael disappears from the lawn. Either way they do it I’m good.

There seemed to be a lot of anger that they're ignoring Halloween 2, which is understandable since Carpenter was involved with that movie as well. Except, people seem to forget how that movie ended. Michael had both of his eyes shot out and was completely engulfed in flames. How the hell would this new movie explain how Michael is still alive after 40 years of being a blind burnt cripple? It's for the best that this is taking place after the original.

Like that idea but not so much the treatment lol. In fact I’d prefer that Michael is never found and returns 40 years later on a cold and crisp Halloween night. The other stuff seems repetitive at this point. No need for any more mental institutions or hospitals. This falls more in line with Mixhael being A force of nature or whatever Carpenter invisioned Michael to be. I think the above spoiler humanizes Michael and takes a lot of the mystery out of the equation.

So they want to kiss off an entire franchise like their idea is so high and mighty rolling in sweet brilliance.... and THAT is what they come up with? Think i like the drunken idea of the "brother" angle better.
